Sunshine, sunshine reggea...

I think this song from the band Laid Back was only popular in Europe, but if this card needed a musical background here, it would be so fitting with the great Caribbean sounds. Oh, isn't the Polynesian Paradise set from My Favorite Things gorgeous? It contains so many great stamps and you always discover something new and inspiring.

I found it super fitting to the colour scheme of the current Sunday Stamps Challenge. And so I combined the Sketch Challenge of My Favorite Things and the Polynesian Paradise Set with the colour scheme. Here you can also see my card with a different background. I find with the pink background everything seems a little warmer, but the sea feeling is not quite so obvious anymore.

For the main motifs in the frame I stamped the chameleon, the flowers and leaves with Memento. I masked some of the flowers and drew the branch for the chameleon myself. I then coloured all motifs with Letraset markers and Copics. The same goes for the frames of the main coloured motifs. The flowers in the background are of course also from the MFT set. I only gave them a slight hint of colour. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and embossed in white. Afterwards I stained it with Copics and the Letraset markers.

.... now I'm in such a Caribbean summer mood! I'm going to put a flower in my hair, put on my bikini and go slurp cocktails, hihi.
