Magnolias - Full Power of Spring

Es gibt ein paar Blumen, die liebe ich wirklich sehr. Neben den Mohnblumen sind es Magnolien. Sie sind so herrlich prächtig, erinnern an Seide und blühen doch so wahnsinnig toll in der Frühlingssonne. Es ist einer dieser Bäume, die es regelrecht ausstrahlen, wie sich die Natur im Frühling nach der Sonne reckt, nachdem sie den Winterschlaf beendet haben, in welchem sie auf ein Minimum reduziert waren. Es ist jammerschade, dass ihre Blütenpracht nicht lange hält. Wenn ihre Blätter abfallen, so scheint es, als würde der Baum weinen. 
There are some flowers that I really love. Next to the poppies, there are magnolias. They are so wonderfully splendid, reminiscent of silk and yet bloom so amazingly in the spring sun. It's one of those trees that really radiates the way nature stretches towards the sun in spring, after they have finished their hibernation, in which they were reduced to a minimum. It is a pity that their flowering does not last long. When their leaves fall, it seems as if the tree cries.

Für meine Karte habe ich die No-Lines Technik gewählt. Ich finde das für diese zauberhaften Blüten am besten geeignet. Den Stempelabdruck habe ich daher mit einem sehr hellen rosé-Ton gestempelt und mit Copics sowie Polychromos koloriert. 

Im Hintergrund habe ich die Wellen mit einer Schablone getupft und die Worte dazu gestempelt. Meinen per Hand ausgeschnittenen kolorierten Stempelabdruck habe ich dann mit Abstandspads auf der Karte befestigt. Die Ränder habe ich abgerundet und unten links noch eine kleine Naht gezeichnet. 

For my card I have chosen the No-Lines technique. I find this to be the most suitable for these enchanting flowers. I have therefore stamped the stamp impression with a very light rosé tone and coloured it with Copics and Polychromos. 

In the background I dabbed the waves with a stencil and stamped the words to it. I then attached my fussy cut coloured stamp imprint to the card with spacer pads. I rounded the edges and drew a small stitches at the bottom left.

While I do like every season, I really really love Spring so much, because everything starts blooming and nature "comes out" again. All creatures and plants reduce themselves to a minimum during the winter period and then with Spring everything opens up again and the sun with its warm temperatures will give power to all again. So this is why I chose Spring even though, I do like Easter also.

Ja, ich kann es nicht verleugnen, ich mag sie sehr sehr gern, meine Copics. Auch heute habe ich wieder eine besondere Koloration für Euch. Es ist eine No-Lines Technik und das Motiv ist eines der herrlichen Tiere des neuen Release von Scrapbook Forever, die es ab dem kommenden Wochenende auf der Stempelmesse Süd und dann danach auch im Webshop zu erwerben gibt. Der Blick des Froschs ist doch wohl umwerfend, oder? 
Yes, I can't deny it, I like them very much, my Copic marker. Also today I have again a special colouration for you. It is a No-Lines technique and the motive is one of the wonderful creatures of the new release of Scrapbook Forever, which will be available next weekend at the Stamp Fair South and afterwards in the webshop. The frog's gaze is stunning, isn't it?

Das Motiv habe ich diesmal mit Distress Oxides im Farbton milled lavender gestempelt. So kann man nun keine dieser gestempleten Linien mehr sehen. Die Koloration habe ich mit Copics gemacht und mit einem Triton Marker Lichtreflexe gesetzt. Den Hintergrund habe ich mit einer Schablone und drei Farbtönen Distress Oxides gestaltet. Die Kringel an den Rändern und die Punkte sind mit der Hand gezeichnet. Der Schriftzug ist gestempelt.

 

This time I stamped the motif with Distress Oxides in milled lavender. So you can't see any of these stamped lines anymore. I did the colouration with Copics and set light reflections with a Triton marker. I designed the background with a stencil and three colours Distress Oxides. The circles at the edges and the dots are drawn by hand. The writing is stamped.

As you can imagine - it is the Copic marker that I really love. The colouration comes out fantastic, they come in various colours, are refillable, have a great tip and have a history over years and years and the company stays with their tones (or adds even more).

Schneeengel

Als ich diesen niedlichen Weihnachtsmann gesehen habe, musste ich gleich an Schneeengel denken. Ihr kennt das, oder? Man legt sich in den Schnee und wischt mit den Armen hoch und runter, so dass es dann ausschaut wie ein Engel? Und dann fiel mir ein, dass ich diese Stanzen hatte, die ein wenig an eine Schneekugel erinnern. Perfekt! 
When I saw this cute Santa Claus, I immediately had to think of snow angels. You know that, don't you? You lie down in the snow and wipe up and down with your arms so that it looks like an angel? And then I remembered that I had these dies that remind me a little of a snow globe. Perfect!
 

Ich wollte etwas ganz Besonderes machen, also habe ich mich dafür entschieden, den Nikolaus in der No-Lines-Technik zu kolorieren. Dazu stempelt man das Motiv mit einer ganz hellen Farbe und malt es dann aus (in meinem Fall mit Copics). Dann sieht man hinterher die Linien nicht mehr. Um verloren gegangene Strukturen wieder herzustellen, zeichnet man diese nachträglich wieder nach. Ich habe das mit Polychromos-Buntstiften gemacht. Eine ganz besondere Herausforderung war naürlich noch der Schnee, den musste ich ja selber zeichnen. Also habe ich mir im Internet Fotos von Leuten angeschaut, die Schneeengel gemacht haben. Und das habe ich versucht, mit den Copics nachzuzeichnen.

I wanted to do something very special, so I decided to colour Santa Claus using the No-Lines technique. You stamp the motif with a very light colour and then colour it (in my case with Copics). So you do not see the lines from the stamp afterwards. In order to restore lost structures, you draw them again when you are done with the colouring. I used Polychromos crayons for that step. A very special challenge for me was the snow, which I had to draw myself. So I looked on the Internet at photos of people who made snow angels and tried to capture it with Copics. 
The sentiment reads "It is going to be Christmas soon".
