So goldig

Ich liebe ja rot und kraft für weihnachtliche Karten. Hier ist ein solches Exemplar von meinem Basteltisch gehüpft und obendrein habe ich gold dazu verwendet. Ist der Wichtel nicht super niedlich? Es gibt ihn gleich in drei Ausführungen im Stamp Corner Shop.
I love red and craft for Christmas cards. Here is such an example of mine, which hopped off my craft table. On top of that I used gold for the design. Isn't the gnome super cute? It is available in three versions in the Stamp Corner Shop.

Zunächst habe ich den süßen Wichtel mit Versamark gestempelt und in gold embosst. Einige Bereiche habe ich dann mit Copics koloriert und andere bewußt so belassen, wie sie sind. Das Herz, welches der Wichtel in den Händen hält, habe ich mit einer Schicht Glossy Accents versehen. 
Die Nähte in weiß und rot habe ich mit der Hand gezeichnet. Ihr kennt mich, gell? Das mache ich eigentlich am liebsten. Aber Ihr findet auch einige Nähte in dem Rahmen von der Stanze, dem ich noch zusätzlich eine weiße Linie verpasst habe.
First I stamped the sweet gnome with Versamark and embossed it in gold. Then I coloured some areas with Copics and deliberately left others as they are. The heart, which the gnome holds in his hands, I provided with a layer of Glossy Accents.
I drew the stitches in white and red by hand. You know me, right? That's what I like to do best. But you will also find some stitches in the frame from the die, which I have also given a white line.

Wollen wir Drachen steigen lassen?

Neben den wunderschönen Farben hat der Herbst auch einige tolle Aktivitäten, die wir mit ihm verbinden. Neben dem Waldspaziergang kommt mir da gleich das Drachen steigen lassen in den Sinn. Das süße Euchhlrnchen erfreut sich an seinem Drachen und sammelt nebenbei ein paar Eicheln.
In addition to the beautiful colours, autumn also has some great activities that we associate with it. Beside the walk through the forest kites comes to my mind. The sweet squirrel enjoys his kite and collects some acorns on the way.

Ist er nicht wirklich putzig, der kleine? Ich hatte es Euch ja kürzlich bereits geschrieben, dass das neue Stempelset von Stamp Corner jede Menge kleiner Dinge enthält, mit denen ich vermutlich noch gaaaaanz viele Karten machen könnte. Heute habe ich mir also eine der zwei Hauptfiguren genommen und sie mit dem Drachen kombiniert. Gestempelt habe ich mit Ink on 3, koloriert dieses Mal mit meinen Aquarellfarben. Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Kosmetikpinseln gewischt. Am Horizont habe ich eine selbst geschnittene Maske verwendet. Die Herzen sind gestempelt. Den Rahmen habe ich über dem Hintergrund mit Abstandspads befestigt und den Igel und Drachen überlappen lassen. 

Isn't he really cute, the little one? I wrote you recently that the new stamp set from Stamp Corner contains a lot of small things, which I could probably make a lot of cards with. So today I took one of the two main characters and combined it with the kite. I stamped with Ink on 3, this time coloured with my watercolours. I wiped the background with cosmetic brushes. On the horizon I used a self-cut mask. The hearts are stamped. I fixed the frame over the background with spacer pads and let the hedgehog and kite overlap.

Weihnachten hat nen langen Bart - oder: auch unter Wasser wird Weihnachten gefeiert!

Na, was soll ich sagen? Weihnachten hat doch wirklich einen langen Bart, oder? hihihi. Als wir kürzlich im Designteam unserer Fantasie freien Lauf gelassen haben, sagte eine meiner DT-Schwestern, dass sie dem Fisch eine Weihnachtsmütze verpassen würde. Ich habe mich dann aus dem Fenster gelehnt und gesagt, dass ihm ein Bart auch prima stehen würde. Na, und was man verspricht, das muss man dann ja auch halten, oder? Ich bin mir sicher, dass unter Wasser auch Weihnachten gefeiert wird.
Well, what should I say? Christmas has a long mustache! (Do you have this saying in your country at all? In Germany it means, that something has a long tradition and well, yes, it has a little bit of an old fashioned touch to it as well). hehehe. When we recently let our fantasy go wild in the design team, one of my DT sisters said she would give the fish a cap. And well, I then added that a mustache would also suit him well! And yes, I keep my promises. I am sure that there is also Christmas under water.


Ich habe also zunächst den tollen Fisch aus dem neuen Release (den großen) gestempelt und die Mütze und den Bart mit der Hand gezeichnet und ausgeschnitten. Koloriert habe ich alles mit Copics und Polychromos. Die Sterne und der Spruch sind aus dem Elchiset und ich habe sie in verschiedenen Farben gestempelt. Die grünen Punkte sind mit einem Poscamarker gemalt, die erhabenen Punkte unten sind Nuvo Drops. Für das Design der Karte habe ich lediglich am linken Rand die Ecken abgerundet. 

 
I first stamped the fish from the new release (the big one) and painted the hat and the mustache myself. I coloured everything with Copics and Polychromos. The stars and the sentiment are from the Elchi stamp set and I stamped them in various colours to the card base. I painted the green dots with Poscamarker and the blue dots on the bottom are Nuvo drops. To give the card a special design I only rounded the corners on the left side.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Der Oktober jeden Jahres ist zum Brustkrebs-Bewußtseinsmonat ausgewählt worden. In diesem Monat gibt es ganz viele Aktionen, die zur Aufklärung zum Thema Brustkrebs beitragen sollen und vor allen Dingen das Bewußtsein schärfen sollen, wie wichtig es ist, frühzeitig zum Brustkrebs-Screening zu gehen und sich auch selber regelmäßig abzutasten! Die Symbolfarbe hierfür ist pink. Meinen Post von heute möchte ich dieser Aktion widmen.
Every year the breast cancer awareness month is being held in October. There are many activities being held to educate people about breast cancer and most of all to raise awareness on the importance of an early breast cancer screening including regular self-exam. The colour chosen as a symbol for this campaign is pink. I would like to dedicate my post from today to this campaign.

Den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich mit Alkohol Inks gestaltet. Darauf habe ich den ausgestanzten Herzhintergrund geklebt. Den Kranz habe ich aus weißem Papier ausgestanzt und dann mit Copics koloriert. Diesen habe ich dann mit Abstandspads auf der Karte befestigt. Das Banner ist ausgestanzt und dann der Text hinein geprägt. Ich habe ihn ebenfalls mit Abstandspads befestigt. An der oberen Kate des Hintergrunds und unten habe ich die Nähte mit einem grauen Copic Multiliner gezeichnet. Die Kante unten habe ich  mit der Schere bewußt unsymmetrisch abgeschnitten. Es soll symbolisch für eine der schlimmen Konsequenzen von Brustkrebs stehen.

 
I designed the background of my card with alcohol inks and glued the die-cut heart background onto it. The wreath is also a die-cut element, which I coloured with Copics. I adhered it to the card with distance pads. The banner is another die-cut element into which I embossed the saying ("from the heart"). I glued it to the card with thick distance pads. At the upper and lower ends of my background I drew stitches with a grey Copic Multiliner. I cut off the lower part unsymmetrically, which should stand for one of the terrible consequences of breast cancer.

Das Leben will gepflückt werden

Jetzt ist doch wirklich der Herbst in seinen vollen Zügen bei uns angekommen, oder? Also hier färbt sich das Laub, die Früchte und Blätter fallen von den Bäumen, es regnet viel und wird stürmisch und kalt. Da mache ich es mir gerne drinnen bei einer Tasse Tee gemütlich. Aber die Farben sind doch auch herrlich inspirierend und der Herbst schenkt uns mit der Natur wundervolle Inspirationen. 
Now autumn has really arrived in its full form, hasn't it? So here the leaves change colour, the fruits and leaves fall from the trees, it rains a lot and becomes stormy and cold. I like to make myself comfortable inside with a cup of tea. But the colours are also wonderfully inspiring and autumn gives us wonderful inspirations with nature.


In dem tollen neuen Stempelset von Stamp Corner, welches Treeebird designed hat gibt es nicht nur wunderschöne Tiere, sondern auch gaaaaanz viele Herbstliche Blätter und Früchte. Und so habe ich für meine Karte von heute erst einmal diese mit einem Spruch aus einem älteren Set kombiniert. Ich habe bei der Pinspirational Challenge ein tolles Inspirationsbild gesehen und da kam mir die Idee zu dieser Karte. Ich wollte gerne klare Farben verwenden, die ich nicht zu sehr abtöne. Daher habe ich von den jeweiligen Copics nur eine kräftige Farbe gewählt und die hellen Stellen mit dem Blenderpen gemacht. Die dunkleren Stellen habe ich mit Polychromos gemalt. Mit den jeweiligen Copics habe ich auch die Punkte im Hintergrund gemalt. Alle Motive haben leichte Schatten bekommen, die ich mit zwei Schattierungen Tonergrau gemalt habe. An den Rändern der Grundkarte habe ich die Punkte mit einem Signomarker gemalt. Alle Ecken habe ich abgerundet.  
In the great new stamp set from Stamp Corner, which Treeebird has designed, there are not only beautiful animals, but also a lot of autumn leaves and fruits. And so for today's card I combined them with a saying from an older set. I saw a great inspirational picture at the Pinspirational Challenge and the idea for this card came to me. I wanted to use clear colours that I didn't want to tone down too much. Therefore I chose only one strong colour from my Copics and made the light areas with the blender pen. I painted the darker areas with Polychromos. With the respective Copics I also drew the dots in the background. All motives got light shadows, which I made with two shades of toner grey. At the edges of the base card I painted the dots with a Signo marker. I rounded off all corners.

Dich würde ich gerne vernaschen

One layer cards - ist das was für Euch? Also ich tu mich immer schwer damit. Irgendwie bin ich immer versucht noch etwas hier oder dort zuzufügen. Aber heute habe ich mich zurück gehalten und tada, ich kann behaupten, dass es tatsächlich eine One Layer Card geworden ist!!! 
Ich habe die Katze aus dem neuen Set "Magische Momente" von Scrapbook Forever mit einem der Fische aus dem etwas älteren Set "Neptun und seine Meerjungfrauen" kombiniert. Der Fisch passte gut von der Größe und schaue auch so klasse!
One layer cards - do you like to make them? Well, I actually find them a bit harder to make. I am always tempted to add something here or there. But today I could hold myself back and can proudly say, I have a real one layer card for you!!!
I combined the car from the new set "Magische Momente" from Scrapbook Forever with one of the little fishes from an older set called "Neptun und seine Meerjungfrauen". The fish fit so well in size and I loved the look!

Heute ist es mit der Beschreibung dessen wie meine Karte entstanden ist ganz einfach: Gestempelt mit Ink on 3 und koloriert mit Polychromos. :)
It is as easy as this today with the description of how I made my card: stamped with Ink on 3 and coloured with Polychromos :)

Visible Wednesday - Golden trees on an acrylic background

Jaaa, es ist wieder Visible Wednesday (also der Mittwoch alle zwei Wochen, an dem ich Euch etwas mit den Stempeln von Visible Image zeige). Ich hatte endlich mal die Gelegenheit, etwas mit den neuen Weihnachtsstempeln zu kreieren. Das Weihnachtsset, welches ich benutzt habe heißt Christmas Chaos. Es ist so vielseitig, dass man vermutlich die Weihnachtspost von mehreren Jahren damit gestalten könnte! Ich habe mich heute dabei auf nur zwei der Stempel konzentriert: den einen Tannenbaum und den Weihnachtsgruß.
Yes, it's Visible Wednesday again (that Wednesday every other week when I show you something with the stamps of Visible Image). I finally had the opportunity to create something with the new Christmas stamps. The Christmas set I used is called Christmas Chaos. It's so versatile that you could probably use it to create the Christmas mail of several years! Today I concentrated on only two of the stamps: the one Christmas tree and the Christmas greeting. 




Der Hintergrund ist beim Spielen mit Acrylfarben entstanden. Auf dem kleinen Bild könnt Ihr sehen, wie er zunächst ausgesehen hat (naja, oder kurz danach). 
The background was created when playing with acrylic paints. On the small picture you can see what it looked like at first (or maybe second).  

Darauf habe ich den Tannenbaum dreimal mit Versamark gestempelt und mit einem sehr dicken goldenen Embossingpulver embosst. Es heißt flüssiges gold, da es einen ganz dicken Auftrag ergibt. 
I stamped the fir tree three times with Versamark and embossed it with a very thick golden embossing powder. It is called liquid gold, because it gives a very thick application.

 
An den Rändern der Tannenbäume habe ich Stickles aufgetragen, so dass sie dort schön glitzern. Ich habe auch im Hintergrund mit hellgrüner Acrylfarbe die Sterne und den Schweif aus dem Set "Universal" gestempelt. Diese sollten im Hintergrund versteckt sein und ihn ein wenig interessanter machen. An den Rändern habe ich dunkelblaue und weiße Acrylfarbe mit einer alten Checkkarte aufgetragen. So entstand das mamorierte Muster. 

I have applied stickles to the edges of the trees so that they glitter nicely there. I also stamped the stars and the tail from the set "Universal" in the background with light green acrylic paint. These should be hidden in the background and make it a little more interesting. 


Den Text habe ich ebenfalls mit Versamark gestempelt und in dunkelblau embosst. Die zwei Worte vom Text sind eigentlich untereinander angeordnet, ich wollte sie aber nebeneinander stempeln. Dafür klebe ich mir in der Regel einen Teil des Stempels mit Post-It Zetteln zu, wie ich es Euch unten im Bild zeige. Sowohl die Tannenbäume als auch den Text habe ich an den Rändern mit Polychromos und Copic Opaque betont. 


At the edges of the background I applied dark blue and white acrylic paint with an old check card. It resulted in the mamorized pattern. I also stamped the text with Versamark and embossed it in dark blue. The two words of the text are actually arranged underneath each other on the stamp, but I wanted to stamp them next to each other. Therefore I usually cover a part of the stamp with Post-It notes, as I show you in the picture below. Both the fir trees and the text I emphasized at the edges with Polychromos and Copic Opaque.
