Sunshine on a rainy day

Ich hoffe von Herzen, dass Euer Tag sonnig im Herzen war, doch sollte das nicht der Fall gewesen sein, so schicke ich Euch ein bisschen Sonne mit meiner Karte. 
Als ich die Blumen von Visible Image gesehen habe, da habe ich  mich gleich in sie verliebt. Und die Schriftart des Textes ist doch wohl auch sooooo schön, oder? Es passt so gut und ist so nett verspielt dazu.
Es ist meine zweite Karte für das Gast-Designteam von Visible Image.

When I saw the flowers from Visible Image, I fell in love with them immediately. And the font of the text is sooooo beautiful, isn't it? It fits so well and is so nice and playful.
It is my second card for the guest design team of Visible Image.

Leider habe ich nicht daran gedacht, Fotos zwischendurch zu machen, als ich den Hintergrund gestaltet habe, denn da habe ich einen speziellen Effekt genutzt. Ihr benötigt Glossypapier und Distress Oxides. Mit diesen habe ich fleßig gekleckst und mit Wasser gearbeitet. Außerdem habe ich noch Kreise in verschiedenen Farben dazu gestempelt. Und dann kommt das große Geheimnis: Mit einem Schwämmchen tragt Ihr ein wenig Micro Glaze auf und rubbelt damit quasi die Kalk-artigen Pigmente der Oxides wieder weg. Dadurch kommt der Glanz des Papiers wieder durch und alles strahlt schön. Vielleicht schaffe ich es ja beim nächsten mal einen vorher/nachher Schnappschuß zu machen. 
 

Unfortunately I didn't think about taking photos in between when I created the background, because I used a special effect. You need glossy paper and Distress Oxides. With these I have stained diligently and worked with water. I also stamped circles in different colours. And then comes the big secret: With a little sponge you apply a little Micro Glaze and rub away the chalk-like pigments of the Oxides. The gloss of the paper comes through again and everything shines beautifully. Maybe I can take a snapshot before and after the next time.


Und dann ist mir noch ein Faux-Pas passiert! Da ich mir noch nicht klar war vor dem Stempeln des Textes, mit welcher Farbe ich ihn anmalen würde und ob überhaupt, habe ich erst einmal fröhlich  mit Versafine gestempelt ... und dann entschieden, dass ich ihn doch gerne bunt malen würde. Und am liebsten mit Copics, seufz. Na, da musste ich dann sehr aufpassen an den Rändern und meine Stifte außerdem immer wieder abstreichen. Für diejenigen, die sich damit nicht so auskennen: Versafine verträgt sich nicht mit Alkohol-basierten Stiften und so wird es leider von ihnen angelöst. Daher stemple ich sonst diese Sachen mit Memento. 


And then a Faux-Pas happened to me! Since I was not yet clear before stamping the text, with which colour I would paint it and whether at all, I first cheerfully stamped with Versafine ... and then decided that I would like to make it a bit colourful. And preferably with Copics, sigh! Well, then I had to be very careful at the lines and with my markers and I had to stripe off black ink again and again. For those who are not so familiar with it: Versafine doesn't work with alcohol-based marker, they dissolve the lines. That is why I usually stamp these things with Memento before colouring them. 



 
So habe ich es dann nämlich mit den Blumen und dem Schmetterling gemacht. Erst mit Memento gestempelt und dann mit Copics koloriert und mit der Hand ausgeschnitten. Den Schmetterling habe ich noch an den Flügeln zurecht gebogen.

That's how I did it with the flowers and the butterfly. I first stamped them with Memento and then coloured them with Copics and cut out by hand. I bent the butterfly on its wings to make it pop.


Für die Basiskarte habe ich die Strukturen mit Versamark gestempelt (die Ränder genügten dafür) und in weiß embosst.

For the base card I stamped the structures with Versamark (the edges were sufficient) and embossed them in white.

An den Rändern habe ich noch mit der Hand gekritzelt und Nuvo Drops zugefügt. Die Karte ist dann mit Abstandspads übereinander montiert. 
I scribbled at bit on the edges and added Nuvo Drops. I mounted everything with distance pads.

Party with playful balloons


Kennt Ihr auch alle diese super niedlichen Luftballonfiguren, die aus dünnen Luftballon-Würsten gebogen werden? Ich finde sie herrlich und so mag ich auch diese Stempel ganz besonders gern. Einmal habe ich mich tatsächlich auch selbst daran versucht, so ein Tierchen zu biegen. War eigentlich gar nicht sooooo schwer, wenn man erstmal den Ballon aufgeblasen hatte.
Do you also know these super cute balloon figures that are bent out of thin balloon sausages? I find them wonderful and so I also like these stamps very much. Once I actually tried to bend such an animal myself. It was actually not sooooo hard to do, once you were able to inflate the balloon at first.


Die Ballons habe ich mit Memento gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert. Die Punkte und Sterne im Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Oxides in passenden Farben gestempelt. Unten habe ich noch zwei ausgestanzte Wellenränder aufgeklebt und zusätzlich Paileten auf der Karte verteilt. 
I stamped the balloons with Memento and coloured them with Copics. I stamped the dots and stars in the background with Distress Oxides in matching colours. At the bottom I glued two cut out wavy edges and additionally distributed sequins on the card.

Summer everywhere

Also in meinem Bastelzimmer ist der Sommer angekommen und bei Euch? Bei vielen Challenges heißt es nun Sommer, Sommerfarben, Sommerfeeling usw.. Und auch die neue Challenge bei Basteltraum sagt: Zeigt uns Eure Sommerkarten. Ich darf bei dieser Challenge als Gastdesignerin mit dabei sein, denn ich hatte kürzlich den Goldaward gewonnen und damit auch das Angebot bekommen, Gastdesignerin zu sein. So schaut meine Sommerkarte aus. Flip Flops sind für mich ein klares Symbol für Sommer!
So summer has arrived in my craft room and how about yours? Many challenges cover summer as a theme currentl: summer colours, summer feeling, etc.. And also the new Challenge at Basteltraum says: Show us your summer cards. I'm allowed to be a guest designer in this challenge, because I recently won the Gold Award and thus also got the offer to be a guest designer. This is how my summer card looks like. Flip Flops are a clear sign for summer for my taste!

Zunächst habe ich die Flip Flops 10x mit Memento gestempelt und sie mit Copics koloriert. Die weißen und schwarzen Details habe ich mit Signomarker und Copic Multiliner gemacht. Der Text ist mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. Die Punkte habe ich frei Hand gemalt mit Acrylfarben und Signomarker.
First I stamped the Flip Flops 10x with Memento and coloured them with Copics. I did the white and black details with Signomarker and Copic multiliner. The text is stamped with Versamark and embossed in white. I painted the dots freehand with acrylic paints and the Signo marker.

Skull tattooed with butterflies - My debut as guest designer for Visible Image

Jipiejayeahhhh! Juchu und heissassa, endlich kann ich Euch meine erste Karte zeigen, die ich mit den Visible Image Produkten gemacht habe. Ich bin ja eingeladen worden, als Gastdesignerin für Visible Image für drei Monate im Team mit dabei zu sein. Erst durfte ich mir ein großzügiges Paket ihrer Goodies aussuchen und das ist mittlerweile nicht nur bei mir eingetroffen (DANKE!!!!!), sondern ich war auch schon kreativ. Hier kommt mein Erstlingswerk!
Yipieyayeahhhh! Dabadoooo and strike, finally I can show you my first card I made with the Visible Image products. I was invited to be a guest designer for Visible Image for three months. First I was allowed to choose a generous package of their goodies and that has not only arrived with me in the meantime (THANK YOU!!!!!), but I was also already creative. Here comes my first piece of art!

 Zunächst habe ich mal die Totenkopfschablone mit einem Bleistift skizziert, so dass ich eine Ahnung hatte, wo die Schmetterlinge zu verteilen waren. Dann habe ich die Schmetterlinge schön über die offenen Stellen verteilt. Hierzu habe ich mir die Totenkopfschablone abermals zur Hand genommen, damit ich an den Rändern den weißen Rand erhielt. Die Schablone hat ja im linken Teil einen großzügigen freien Bereich mit dem passenden Rand und daher habe ich sie quasi auf dem Kopf stehend genutzt, um die Ränder beim Stempeln der Schmetterlinge frei zu halten. Das Bild steht also nicht Kopf, wie Ihr es vielleicht erst gedacht habt. Dann habe ich die Ränder des Totenkopfs mit einem Multiliner nachgezogen. Das ergebnis könnt Ihr im Foto erkennen.
First I sketched the skull template with a pencil, so that I had an idea where the butterflies were to be distributed. Then I stamped the butterflies randomly over the open places. For this I took the skull template again, so that I got the white line at the edges. The mask has a big free area in the left part with the matching edge and so I used it upside down to keep the edges free when stamping the butterflies. The picture is not upside down as you might have thought it would be. Then I outlined the edges of the skull with a multiliner. You can see this in the photo.


Beim Kolorieren habe ich mit Copics gearbeitet. Sowohl die Schmetterlinge als auch die Hintergründe sind damit gestaltet. Habt Ihr es bemerkt? Um eine ganz besonderen Effekt zu erzielen, habe ich den Totenkopf selber am rechten Rand durchgezeichnet. Auch den ein oder anderen Strich vom Schmetterling habe ich überlappen lassen. 
I used Copics for my colouration. The butterflies as well as the backgrounds are designed with it. Have you noticed it? To achieve a very special effect, I let the skull go over the white part on the right side. I also overlapped one or the other stroke of the butterfly. 


Für die weiß gräulichen Formen habe ich mit weißer Acrylfarbe und der Fibres Schablone gearbeitet. Ich hatte schon vermutet, dass die Farbe einen leicht gräulichen Ton annehmen wird und habe dies genutzt und mit einem Signomarker weiße Strukturen an die Ränder gezeichnet. Unten an den Rändern habe ich frei Hand mit Acrylstiften gezeichnet. 
Der Schrifzug ist mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. 
For the white greyish parts I worked with white acrylic paint and the Fibres stencil. I had already suspected that the colour would take on a slightly greyish tone and used this to draw white structures on the edges with a Signo marker. At the bottom of the image I drew free hand with acrylic pencils.
The writing is stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.

Total glücklich


Ich kann Euch sagen, ich habe noch etwas sehr knalliges für Euch ... seid gespannt! Solange wollte ich Euch aber noch ein paar Karten in zarten Farbtönen zeigen.  Zu diesem niedlichen Elefant passen sie auch besser als schreiende Farben. Wir wollen ja nicht, dass er aufwacht, oder? hihihi.
I can tell you, I have something very flashy for you ... be curious! But meanwhile I wanted to show you some cards in soft colours.  To this cute elephant they also fit better than screaming colors. We don't want him to wake up, do we? hihihi.


Den Hintergrund habe ich mit einer Schablone getupft. Die Ränder habe ich ebenfalls eingefärbt. Den Elefanten hatte ich auf ein quadratisches Stück Papier gestempelt und als ich ihn fertig mit den Polychromos koloriert hatte, dachte ich mir, dass ich doch einfach einen Rahmen drum herum schneiden könnte. Das Wort Total ist eine Stanze, welches ich an den Rändern mit Polychromos koloriert habe. Das Wort glücklich ist gestempelt und mit der Hand ausgeschnitten. 
Die Nähte am Rand des Rahmens sind ebenfalls von Hand gezeichnet. 
I dabbed the background with a stencil. I also dyed the edges. I had stamped the elephant on a square piece of paper and when I had finished colouring it with the Polychromos pencils, I thought I could simply cut a frame around it. The word "Total" is a die-cut piece, which I coloured at the edges with Polychromos. The word "happy" is stamped and cut out by hand.
The stitches at the edges of the frame are also drawn by hand.

And once in a while - Magenta

Diejenigen unter Euch, die mich schon ein bisschen kennen, wissen, dass Magenta eine der Firmen ist, mit denen meine Stempelleidenschaft begann. Und ich mag diese Stempel noch immer unheimlich gern.
Those of you who already know me a little know that Magenta is one of the companies with which my passion for stamps began. And I still really like these stamps.

Für meine Karte habe ich den Blumenstempel mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. Koloriert habe ich mit Wasserfarben. Das Stanzteil und das Aquarell sind mit Abstandspads auf der Karte befestigt.

For my card I stamped the flower stamp with Versamark and embossed it in white. I coloured it with watercolours. The die-cut element and the aquarell piece are attached to the card with spacer pads.

Tender Wedding Card

Der Mai gilt ja als Hochzeitsmonat, aber tatsächlich hat das Paar, welches diese Karte bekommen hat bereits letztes Jahr im Sommer geheiratet, aber erst jetzt gefeiert. Den verwendeten Stempel habe ich schon eine Weile und auch schonmal eine Karte damit gezeigt. Hier habe ich ihn dann mal mit einer ganz anderen Technik verwendet und gleich wirkt alles ganz anders.
May is a wedding month, but in fact the couple who got this card got married last summer, but celebrated only now. I own the used stamp a while already and even showed a card with it already. Here I have used it with a completely different technique and immediately everything looks completely different. The sentiment says: "With love!"

Bei dieser Karte habe ich mit Kraftpapier als Grundlage gearbeitet. Das Motiv habe ich darauf mit Versamark gestempelt und in gold embosst. Den Text habe ich mit Distress Oxides gestempelt. Koloriert habe ich mit Polychromos. An den Rändern habe ich die Punkte mit Signomarker gemalt. Die Bordüre ist ein selbstklebendes Papier. 


For this card I worked with craft paper as the basis. I stamped the motif with Versamark and embossed it in gold. I stamped the text with Distress Oxides. I coloured it with Polychromos. At the edges I painted the dots with a Signo marker. The border is a self-adhesive paper.

Wibbel Wabbel Wobbel

Da habe ich noch kürzlich gesagt, dass ich mit Erdtönen begonnen habe, jetzt aber eher falshige Töne verwende und dann zeige ich Euch heute eine Karte in gediegenen Farben, hihi. Aber die hat es in sich. Außerdem wollte ich der niedlichen Wichtelin rote Haare verpassen und da passte einfach so ein lindgrünes Kleidchen so gut. Ihr kennt das vermutlich alle mit dem Auspacken, Angucken, Ausflippen, oder? Also zumindest für Bastelpakete, die Euch ins Haus flattern, hihi. 
Recently I said that I started with earth tones, but now I'm using more flashy colours and today I'm showing you a card in earth colours, hihi. But this card is special. I also wanted to give the cute elves red hair and a lime green dress just fitted so well. You probably all know that with unpacking, looking at, freaking out, don't you (this is what the text says)? So at least for craft packages, which arrive at your door, hihi. 



Die Wichtelin habe ich mit Memento gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert. Der Text ist mit Versafine gestempelt und die Kreise mit Distress Oxides.
Der Text ist mit einfachen Abstandshaltern befestigt, die Wichtelin mit einem sogenannten Wobble. Wenn man sie antippt, dann wackelt sie ganz doll. Klar, sie flippt ja auch aus, hihi. Hier im Video könnt Ihr es sehen.
I stamped the dwarf woman with Memento and coloured it with Copics. The text is stamped with Versafine and the circles with Distress Oxides.
The text is attached with simple spacers, the dwarf woman with a so-called Wobble. When you touch it, it wobbles a lot. Sure, she's freaking out, hihi (the sentiment reads: unpack, look, freak out). Here in the video you can see it.
