Beautiful - dedicated to Wiebke

Im letzten Monat hatte ich bei der Uniko-Challenge ein Stempelset gewonnen, welches ich mir selber aussuchen durfte. Dazu habe ich dann noch ein weiteres Set gekauft, das ich so toll fand. Ratz fatz waren sie bei mir. Und jetzt kann ich auch bei den Uniko-Challenges mit meinen Uniko-Stempeln teilnehmen. Also, man darf mit allen Stempeln teilnehmen, aber es gibt eine extra Kategorie für diejenigen, die Uniko-Stempel benutzen. 
Last month I had won a stamp set at the Uniko Challenge, which I could choose myself. I also bought another set that I thought was so great. They were delivered super quickly. And now I can also take part in the challenges with my Uniko stamps. You can participate with all kinds of stamps, but there is an extra category for those who use Uniko stamps.


Zunächst habe ich den Text mit Versamark gestempelt und embosst und anschließend die Blumen in in weiß. Dann habe ich mit Aquarellfarben meinen Hintergrund gezeichnet und die Längskanten des Papiers mit Hilfe eines Eckenfransers abgerissen. Zum guten Schluss habe ich dann noch den orange farbenen Text mit Distress Oxides gestempelt.
First I stamped and embossed the text with Versamark and then the flowers in white. Then I drew my background with watercolours and tore off the longitudinal edges of the paper with the help of a tearing edge tool. To finish my card I then stamped the smaller text with Distress Oxides.

 Diese Karte möchte ich Wiebke widmen. Noch immer kennen wir uns nur "virtuell", aber unsere Freundschaft ist einfach "beautiful".
I would like to dedicate this card to Wiebke. Still I only know her "virtually", but our friendship is so beautiful.

Hasenpaar - Gastdesign für Anne Fusselchen

Die liebe Anne von Anne Fusselchen (KLICK) hat mich gefragt, ob ich vielleicht mal wieder ein paar Karten mit ihren Stempeln machen möchte als Gastdesignerin. Und natürlich mache ich das gern. Schaut Euch doch zum Beispiel dieses super romantische Hasenpärchen an. Kann man dem widerstehen?
Dear Anne von Anne Fusselchen (CLICK) asked me if I would like to make some cards with her stamps again as a guest designer. And of course I like to do that. Take a look at this super romantic couple of rabbits, for example. Can you resist that?


Ich habe das Motiv in einem zarten Grauton gestempelt und mit Polychromos koloriert. Den Text habe ich in einem zarten rosé-Ton mit Distress Oxides gestempelt. Oft kommt ja die Frage auf: Womit koloriert man denn so die Stempelmotive? Nun, da kann man eigentlich alles benutzen, was farbig ist. Wichtig ist, dass Ihr mit dem richtigen Papier und den richtigen Stempelpads arbeitet. Für Buntstifte eignen sich eigentlich alle Stempelpads, aber beim Papier greift Ihr am besten zu einem, das eine rauhe Oberfläche hat. Für die Koloration beginne ich mit dem hellsten Farbton, die Schattenseiten nachzuziehen. Dabei drückt Ihr am besten nicht zu stark auf das Papier auf, sondern malt lieber über die gleiche Stelle mehrmals. Dann nehme ich mir den nächst dunkleren Farbton und beginne wieder an der Stelle, die am wenigsten Licht bekommt. Diesmal male ich aber nicht so weit in das Motiv rein. So geht es weiter bis zum dunkelsten Farbton. Zum Schluß male ich dann nochmals mit den helleren Farben drüber und als Finishing nehme ich entweder weiß oder eierschal, um noch die Farben gut ineinander zu verblenden. 
I stamped the motif with a soft grey tone and colored it with Polychromos. I stamped the text in a delicate rosé shade with Distress Oxides. Often the question arises: How do you colour the stamp motifs? Well, you can actually use any colouring medium. It is important that you work with the right paper and the right stamp pads matching your choice. All stamp pads are actually suitable for coloured pencils, but it is best to use paper with a rough surface. For the colouring I start with the lightest colour shade to draw the dark sides. It is best not to apply too much pressure to the paper, but rather to paint over the same spot several times. Then I take the next darker shade and start again at the place that gets the least light. But this time I don't paint so far into the motif. So it goes on up to the darkest colour tone. At the end I paint again with the lighter colours over it and to finish I take either white or eggshell to blend the colours well.

I actually would definitely say I like it rather clean and simple, but my cards do not often meet the rules of a strict CAS card. I like to put a bit here and there, but do not want to distract too much from the main image. This is also why I do not add additional items to the picture, like you see it a lot. I want the card to shine by itself.

Stempelabdrücke mit Acrylfarbe ausmalen

... Da ich die Acrylfarben schon mal draußen hatte, bot es sich ja an, gleich noch einen Hintergrund zu machen, gell? Hihi. So ist auch diese Karte entstanden, da ich die Farben so schick fand. Dieses mal hat sie aber ein bisschen mehr Dekoration abbekommen.
Since I already had my acrylic paints out, it was worth to do yet another background. Hihi! And this card is the result. I really loved the colours so much. As you can see, this example has a bot more decoration on it compared to my last one.


Auf den mit Acrylfarben gestalteten Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich den Hirsch mit Versamark gestempelt und mit braunem Pulver embosst. Die Eicheln habe ich zunächst gestempelt und dann ebenfalls mit Acrylfarben koloriert und ausgeschnitten. Oben an der Karte sind sie nicht wirklich aufgefädelt, sondern mit Abstandshaltern auf der Karte montiert.
I stamped the deer with Versamark on the background, which I created with acrylic paints and embossed it with brown embossing powder. I stamped the oaks and also coloured them with acrylic paint before fuzzy cutting them. I actually did not really pull them on the kraft string, but mounted them on the card with distance pads.

Already since quite some time I had the idea to create a kind of stamping tutorial. I will get started with it in the next days. When one of my posts contains explanations for a specific theme, then I will link it on my encyclopaedia page. This way you can easily find your way to explanations and examples to your questions.

Igeltag


Jetzt habt Ihr vermutlich gelesen, dass es sich in meinem heutigen Post um den Tag des Igels handelt, gell? Aber es ist die Kombination aus Igel und dem englischen Wort aus Anhänger, hihi. Aber vielleicht machen wir den heutigen Tag einfach zum Igeltag. Ich hoffe, dass ich bald mal einen Igel in meinem Garten zu sehen bekomme, so dass ich ihn auch meinem Sohn zeigen kann. Er kennt die süßen Gesellen bislang nur aus Büchern.
Now you most likely ask yourself what "Igeltag" means. It actually means Tag with a hedgehog. "Tag" in German means "day" though, so why don´t we make today´s day a hedgehog day. I hope that I will soon see a hedgehog in my garden so that I can show it to my son. He knows the sweet fellow only from books so far.



Meine Karte enthält heute gar keine Stempeleien. Es ist lediglich eine Kollage aus Papieren, embossten Papieren, gestanzen Teilen und natürlich der Öse mit dem Band.
My card does not contain any stamping today. It is just a collage made from papers, embossed papers, die cut elements and an eyelet with pieces of wool.

Winterly scene

Bei uns ist es noch allerherrlichstes warmes und sonniges Herbstwetter, aber trotzdem möchte ich Euch heute schonmal eine winterliche Karte zeigen.
We still have the warmest and sunniest autumn weather, but nevertheless I would like to show you a kind of winterly card today.


Den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich mit Acrylfarben gestaltet, auf welchen ich dann die Motive gestempelt habe. Ich mag Acrylfarben sehr gerne. Sie geben so tolle Farbeffekte und mit harten Pinseln kann man eine ganz leichte Struktur in die pastenartige Farbe eingeben. 
I designed the background of my card with acrylic colours, on which I then stamped the motifs. I like acrylic colours very much. They give such great colour effects and with hard brushes you can add a very light structure to the paste-like paint.

Jumpy


Und wie versprochen, kommen jetzt meine Werke mit dem neuen Release von Scrapbook Forever. ... Womit fangen wir an? Na klar, mit den lustigen Hippos, die man schon in der Vorschau sehen konnte. Sie sind einfach zu goldig!
And as promised, now I will start showing my cards, which I made with the new release of Scrapbook Forever. ... Where do we start? Of course, with the funny hippos that you could already see in the previews. They are just too cute!  

Dieses Hippo hier schrie förmlich danach, dass es Trampolin springen müssen, findet Ihr nicht auch? Ihr kennt mich ja schon, ich mag es, dass die kleinen Wesen etwas machen. Und so lasse ich mir hier und da mal etwas dazu einfallen. Das Trampolin selber ist eine Quadrat-Stanze. Ich fand, sie sah total wie ein Trampolin aus, da brauchte ich nicht viel kreativer zu werden. 
Das Hippo selber habe ich mit Memento gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert. Die Banner sind eine Stanze. Ich habe weißes Papier benutzt und dieses dann entsprechend koloriert und die Linien eingezogen. Die Schrift ist in dem Hippo-Set enthalten. Ich habe sie mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. Im Hintergrund habe ich noch die ebenfalls im Set enthaltenen Kringel in den beiden passenden Farben gestempelt. 
This hippo here was screaming for a trampoline to jump on, don't you think? You already know me, I like the little creatures to do something. And so I try to come up with something funny here and there. The trampoline itself is a square punch. I thought it looked totally like a trampoline, so I didn't need to be much more creative.
I stamped the hippo itself with Memento and colored it with Copics. The banners are a die. I used white paper and colored it accordingly and drew in the lines. The saying ("want some distraction?") is included in the hippo set. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed it in white. In the background I also stamped the circles that are also included in the set in the two matching colours.

Orange and pink? - Welcome, Anke!


Vermutlich seid Ihr schon ganz gespannt auf meine Karten mit dem neuen Release von Scrapbook Forever. Bevor ich Euch die aber zeige, möchte ich Euch nochmal eine Karte mit den Sternen aus dem letzten Monatsrealease zeigen. Ich liebe diese Farben!
Probably you are already curious about my cards with the new release of Scrapbook Forever. But before I show you those, I would like to show you a card with the stars fromthe release of last month. I love these colours!


In dieser Karte treffen noch einmal Wasserfarben auf Alkoholinks. Die Sterne sind zunächst in weiß embosst und dann habe ich sie mit Aquarellfarben koloriert und ausgeschnitten. Den Hintergrund miener Karte habe ich mit Alkoholinks auf Yupo-Papier gestaltet. Ein besonderer Hingucker ist das Layout der Karte, für das ich den Hintergrund schräg und vor allem über die Grundkarte überlappend angebracht habe. Auch die Sterne stehen hier und dort über. 
In this card watercolours meet alcohol links once more. At first the stars are embossed in white and then I coloured them with watercolours and cut them out. I designed the background of my card with alcohol links on Yupo paper. A special eye-catcher is the layout of the card, for which I placed the background diagonally and overlapping over the basis. Also the stars overhang here and there. 

Auch heute darf ich mich wieder glücklich schätzen, denn ich habe schon wieder eine neue Followerin auf meinem Blog gewonnen. Wie schön, Anke, dass Du da bist. Herzlich Willkommen!

Jetzt ist aber Zeit für Weihnachtskarten, oder?


So, jetzt können wir aber so langsam mit der Weihnachtskartenproduktion beginnen, oder?
Well, now we can start the Christmas card production, can't we? 


Die fleißigen Follower meines Blogs kennen bereits das Motiv mit den drei Heiligen Königen. Ich mag sie sehr (Paper Artsy generell) und so finden sie sich in allen möglichen Varianten auf meinen Karten wieder. Hier einmal mit einem Washi Tape Hintergrund.
The diligent followers of my blog already know the motive with the three Holy Kings. I like them very much (Paper Artsy in general) and so they can be found in all possible variations on my cards. Here is one with a Washi Tape background.

Hallöchen Orgelinchen

Hallöchen, Orgelinchen! - Wer ist das? Orgelinchen ist meine neue Followerin und Ihr wisst ja, dass jeder neue Follower hier begrüßt wird. Die Karte heute ist ja dafür wie gemacht, gell? Schön, dass Du hier bist.
Hello, Orgelinchen! - Who is this? Orgelinchen is my new follower and you might know that each new follower here on my blog is being welcomed. This card today is just made for it! ("Hallöchen" is a cute form of "hello"). It is so nice to have you here.

Ach ja, ist es nicht herrlich mit den Alkohol Inks zu spielen? Diesmal habe ich Yupo-Papier dafür benutzt. Darauf funktioniert es einfach soooo toll. Ein kleiner Tip von mir für die Anfänger: Nehmt maximal drei Farben und macht nicht zu viele kleine Tupfer, sondern eher breitflächigere Strukturen. Dann ist der Hintergrund nicht zu unruhig. Es sei denn, Ihr möchtet ihn vielleicht zerstückeln, oder etwas rausstanzen, dann sind mehr Klekse durchaus toll.
Die Motive habe ich mal wieder mit Memento gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert.
Die Klekse unter dem Hintergrundpapier habe ich mit Lift Ink und einem Klecksstempel gemacht, wie in meinem letzten Post für die Blätter beschrieben.

Oh yes, isn't it wonderful to play with alcohol inks? This time I used Yupo paper for it. On this paper it just works soooo great. A little tip from me for the beginners: Take a maximum of three colours to play with and do not make too many small spots, but rather wider structures. Then the background is not too restless. Unless you want to cut it into pieces or punch something out, then more speckles can be great.
Once again I stamped the motifs with Memento and coloured them with Copics.
I made the speckles under the background paper with lift ink and a speckles stamp, as described in my last post for the leaves.

Alcohol Lift Ink for an autumnal card

Kennt ihr schon alle das Alkohol Lift Ink Kissen? Ihr habt ja in letzter Zeit einige Karten von mir gesehen, in denen ich Hintergründe mit Alkohol Inks gemacht habe. Wenn man auf diese gut getrockneten Hintergründe einen Stempel setzt, den man mit dem besagten Stempelkissen benetzt hatte und ihn eine Weile darauf drückt, dann nimmt dieser Stempel widerum die Farbe vom Hintergrund weg. Diesen Stempel könnt Ihr dann für einen weiteren abdruck verwenden. So geschehen bei dieser Karte. 
Have you all heard of the alcohol lift ink stamping pad? You have probably seen some of my cards lately in which I made backgrounds with alcohol inks. If you put a stamp on these well dried backgrounds, which you had moistened with the mentioned stamp pad and pressed it on the background for a while, then this stamp again takes the colour away from the background. You can then use this stamp for another print. That is how I made this card.


Ihr müsst ein bisschen schauen, welches Papier Ihr für den Alkohol Ink HIntergrund benutzt. Bei mir hat nur das Yupo-Papier funktioniert. Ich habe dann noch ein paar Kleckse und den Spruch über die Blätter gestempelt und schon war meine CAS Karte fertig. ... ok, ich hab noch die Ecken unten abgerundet :) Ich finde diesen Effekt für die herbstlichen Blätter super.
Generell mag ich ja den Herbst irgendwie am liebsten. Wenn die Sonne scheint, dann ist es ein herrliches Farbspiel und man kann Spaziergänge an der frischen Luft wunderbar genießen, denn es gibt so viel in der Natur zu entdecken. Regnet es, so nutze ich die Zeit, um zu Kuscheln, Tee zu trinken und mich wie eine kleine Maus in mein Häuschen zurück zu ziehen. .... vielleicht auch in mein Stempelzimmer :)
You have to look a little bit which paper you use for the alcohol ink background. Only the Yupo paper worked for me. I then stamped a few blobs and the slogan over the leaves and my CAS card was done. ... ok, I rounded edges :) I think this effect is great for the autumn leaves. The sentiment reads "Give me the serenity to accept things I can't change. Give me the courage to change things that I can change. And give me the wisdom to distinguish one from the other." 
Generally I like autumn the best somehow. When the sun shines, it is a wonderful play of colours and you can enjoy walks in the fresh air wonderfully, because there is so much to discover in nature. If it rains, I use the time to cuddle, drink tea and retrakt to my house like a little mouse. .... maybe also to my crafts room :)
