Being there for you

Auch in schweren Zeiten seinen Freunden beizustehen fällt oft ganz besonders schwer. Dabei ist es so wichtig. Jeder Mensch möchte mit seiner Trauer anders umgehen, aber es ist sehr wertvoll, dass man den Trauernden zeigt, dass man für sie da ist. Dabei hilft es oft, einfach nur da zu sein. Scheut Euch nicht.
Ich finde diese Worte von Visible Image so wunderschön: "Worte können Deine Tränen nicht weg wischen, Umarmungen können Deinen Schmerz nicht lindern, aber halte an Deinen Erinnerungen fest, sie werden für immer bleiben".
Especially in difficult times it is so hard to stand by your friends. But it is so important. Everyone wants to deal with their sorrow in a different way, but it is very meaningful that you show the mourners that you are there for them. And so often it helps to just be there. Do not shy away.
I think these words from Visible Image are so beautiful.

Eine Technik, die ich total gerne mag, ist, einen Hintergrund mit Wasserfarben auf Glanzpapier zu machen und darauf meine Motive direkt zu stempeln. 
One of the techniques I really like a lot is to create a water colour background on glossy paper and stamp the motives directly onto it. 
 

Für den Hintergrund benutze ich dann gerne entweder Folie, oder eine meiner Gelli Plates oder einen flächigen Stempel. Heute kamen die beiden ersten zum Einsatz. Als erstes eine runde Gelli Plate. Darauf habe ich mit Tombow-Stiften Farbe aufgetragen und mit Wasser bespritzt. Das sieht dann so aus, wie Ihr es auf dem Foto sehen könnt. 
For the background I use either foil or one of my Gelli Plates or a bold stamp. Today the first two were used: A round Gelli Plate for the first step. On it I applied paint with tombow pens and sprayed water on it. It looks like you can see it on the photo.

Dann habe ich das Papier darauf gedrückt. Ich wollte nicht, dass die Tropfen runter laufen, daher habe ich das Papier auf die Gelli Plate gelegt und nicht anders herum. Im zweiten Foto seht Ihr dann, wie ich die Farbe auf die ebenfalls benutzte Folie aufgetragen habe bevor ich sie mit Wasser besprüht habe. Die Folie habe ich für die unteren Bereiche meines Hintergrunds benutzt. 

Then I pressed the paper on it. I didn't want the drops to run down, so I put the paper on the Gelli Plate and not the other way around. In the second photo you can see how I applied the paint on the foil, which I also used, before I sprayed it with water. I used the foil for the lower parts of my background.

Ein paar weitere Akzente habe ich dann hier und da noch über der Karte mit leichtem Tupfen der Folie gesetzt (immer wieder neue Farbe auftragen und mit Wasser besprühen) und habe auch direkt mit den Tombows Bereiche nachgemalt. 
Auf den fertigen Hintergrund habe ich dann meine Motive gestempelt und das ganze auf mehreren Lagen Karton gemattet. 


A few more accents I put here and there over the card by dabbing the foil lightly (always apply new paint and spray it with water) on the backgroud and I also painted some areas of my card directly with the Tombows.
On the finished background I stamped my motives and matted the whole thing on several layers of cardboard.
