I told you that the color combination from the Retro Rubber Challenge left a little trace on me and so you can find two of them in this card. Isn't he gorgeous, this dwarf with the pink hat? The garden is tempting, and so it seems that I have been using so many garden motifs lately. Besides, I like it nicely colorful. Aren't these colors great for spring?

To be honest, I love this stamp set with the cute dwarf. It contains matching sayings and other objects such as mushrooms (sigh) and squiggly houses. I also wanted to try out Alexandra Renke's new dies (new to me, not new to her collection). I thought they fit so beautifully with the mystical magical motif.
I stamped the dwarf and the mushrooms with Memento and coloured them with alcohol markers (a combination of Copics and Letraset). I love my Copics, but some colors are missing in the colour panel and I like to add my Letraset collection there as well as in this case. The pens of both companies can be combined wonderfully. I cut the die cut pieces out of white cardboard and coloured them with the alcohol markers. I cut the twigs and tufts of grass a little bit according to my wishes.

  3. The colours are so very lovely - bright and fresh. I do love the dwarf. He reminds me very much of Enid Blyton's Big Ears, a book I had as a child. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
