#Tiddlyspiration - Willkommen Marita

Ich hatte Euch ja im letzten Jahr geschrieben, dass ich dieses Motiv von Tiddly Inks soooo schön finde, daher gibt es jetzt noch eine winterliche Karte damit.

I told you last year, that I find this image from Tiddly Inks sooo gorgeous, that I have another winterly card with it for you.

Ich wurde gefragt, ob es bei Tiddly Inks nur Digis gibt. Nein, bei Tiddly Inks gibt es sowohl Digis als auch einige Motive als Clearstamps, aber nicht alle. Für meine Karte habe ich mich von dem Sketch der Challenge "The Challenge" und von den super schicken Farben der laufenden Colour Q Challenge leiten lassen. Zudem lautet das Thema "Sterne und Streifen" bei der heute gestarteten Challenge Up Your Life Challenge. Mein Motiv ist mit Copics koloriert.

I was asked whether Tiddly Inks only has digis. No, Tiddly also has Clear Stamps of some of their images. I was guided for the design of my card by the sketch of the current "The Challenge" and with the super lovely colours of Colour Q. In addition the new challenge, which startet today at Challenge Up Your Life has the theme "stars and stripes". I coloured the image with Copics.

Auch heute darf ich wieder eine neue Followerin auf meinem Blog begrüßen. Vielen lieben Dank, Marita, dass Du Dich als Followerin eingetragen hast. Ich freue mich sehr darüber.

Denkt Ihr an das stempelfrida Blog Candy 50.000? Bis Montag könnt Ihr noch mit dabei sein und Lose sammeln!

Do you remember the stempelfrida blog candy 50.000? You can participate until Monday and collect fortunes for the goodies.

Unter "Resisttechnik" kann man viele unterschiedliche Dinge in der Stempelwelt verstehen. Heute zeige ich Euch mit meiner Karte eine Variante dieser Technik. "Resist" bedeutet in der Stempelwelt in allen Techniken im Grunde "Stand halten". Es bezieht sich außerdem in diesem Zusammenhang immer auf Farbe. Man macht etwas, dass Farbe quasi abhält, resistent dagegen ist. In meinem Fall habe ich das durch Heiß-Embossing erzielt. Den Schmetterling und die Blumen habe ich zunächst mit Versamark auf ein weißes Papier gestempelt und dann mit farblosem Embossingpulver embosst. Ihr könntet in diesem Falle auch weißes Embosssingpulver verwenden. Dann habe ich mit wasser-vermalbaren Farben aus Markern und Refillern Farbe auf die Motive aufgetragen. Bei den Markern male ich üblicherweise zunächst ein bisschen Farbe auf Plastik (zum Beispiel eine Folie) und nehme sie dann mit einem Pinsel und Wasser auf. Ebenso funktioniert das gut mit Refillern. Der Vorteil der Refiller ist natürlich, dass die Farbe wesentlich intensiver ist. Nach dem Farbauftrag habe ich jeweils mit einem Tuch noch überschüssige Farbe abgewischt.

 

Resist technique covers many different techniques in the stamp world. I would like to show you one example of it today. In all techniques the word resist means, that something resists the colour. In my case this is being achieved with wet embossing. I stamped the butterfly and the flowers with Versamark on white card stock and embossed it with colour-less embossing powder. In this case I could have used white embossing powder as well. Then I applied water based ink with a brush on the motifs. When you use marker or ink pads for it, smear some of the ink on plastic (e.g. an acryl foil) and use a wet brush to apply the ink to the image. With ink from refillers you can achieve more intense colours. I removed additional ink from the resist areas with a cloth.

Die Motive habe ich ausgeschnitten und mit Abstandspads angebracht. Ich habe dabei nach dem Sketch der laufenden Retro Sketches Challenge gearbeitet. Die Farbwahl fiel diesmal auf die Global Design Team Challenge. Die Kringel im Hintergrund sind mit weißem Pulver embosst.

I fuzzy cut the motifs and assembled them with distance glue pads on the card. I used the sketch from the current Retro Sketches Challenge to guide me with the design and the colours from the Global Desgin Team Challenge. The swirls on the background paper are embossed with white powder.

January Challenge - Embossing and/or Color Inspiration

Winter bird

Derzeit ist es draußen ja nicht so farbenfroh, aber es gibt in meinem Garten sehr viele Vögel zu sehen. Von beidem habe ich mich inspirieren lassen. 

At the moment it is not so colourful outside, but there are many birds to be watched in my garden. Both inspired me for this card.

Die Karte ist auf Acrylfarben basiert. Der Hintergrund ist mit Pinseln gestaltet. Durch das Leinenpapier gibt es eine schöne Struktur. Der Zweig und der Vogel sind ausgestanzt und dann mit Acrylfarben bemalt. Das tolle an Acrylfarben ist ja, dass sie so schön deckend sind und man dadurch klasse Effekte zaubern kann und vor allem eine helle Schicht auch über eine dunkle malen kann. Der Spruch ist ebenfalls mit Acrylfarbe gestempelt. Dazu gebt Ihr am besten einen Klecks Farbe auf ein Papier oder eine härtere Folie und rollt mit einem Brayer (also einer Farbrolle) drüber. Dann rollt Ihr die Farbe mit dem Brayer auf Euren Stempel. Ihr solltet Acrylfarbe von Stempeln schnell wieder mit einem feuchten Tuch und warmen Wasser abwaschen bevor sie trocknet.

The card is based on acrylic paint. I made the background with brushes. You can achieve very nice patterns when using a linen card stock. I cut out the branch and the bird with dies and painted them with the acrylic paint. The advantage of acrylic paint is, that it is opaque so that you can cover darker areas even with white and that you can achieve really nice designs, structures and patterns with it, because of its paste like texture. You can also stamp with acrylic paint as shown for the sentiment. I recommend to put a bit of paint on a piece of paper or plastic and to smoothen it with a brayer. Then roll over your stamp with the brayer and stamp. Make sure you clean your stamp quickly with warm water and a sponge cloth before it dries.

Ich habe mich von den unten stehenden vier Challenges bei meiner Karte leiten lassen. Den Vogel habe ich mir ausgesucht für die QKR Challenge und die Pinspirational Challenge (ist dieses Foto nicht mega?!!). Die letztere Challenge, Simply Less is More (Neutralfarben) und die Bawion Challenge (Winterfarben) haben mich bei der Farbwahl geleitet.

I used the four challenges listed below to guide me with my piece of art this time. I chose the bird because of QKR and the Pinspirational Challenge (isn´t this an amazing photo?!!!) and the colours are guided by the latter one, the Simply Less is More challenge with "neutrals" and the Bawion challenge with "winter colours".

Halli, hallo! Na, seid Ihr noch immer in Partystimmung zum neuen Jahr? Zumindest scheint es dieses Monster hier zu sein.

Hi everyone, are you still in party mood about the new year? I guess, this cute dude here is. Don´t you think?

Ich habe dieses süßen Fratz von meiner lieben Freundin Jessika zu Weihnachten bekommen (DANKE!). Ich mag die Stempel von der Stempelbar sehr gern. Ihr habt vielleicht die Karte von gestern gesehen. Das süße Schweinchen ist auch eine Stempelbarkreation... oder sollte ich besser Stempelbarkreatur sagen? :)

I actually got this cutie from my dear friend Jessika for Christmas (THANK YOU!). I really like those stamps from the Stempelbar. You might have seen the card from yesterday with the piggy. That was also one of their creations .. or shall I say creatures?

Ich habe das Monsterchen mit Memento gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert. Dann habe ich mich auf die verzweifelte Suche nach passendem gemusterten Papier gemacht. Es sollte gepunktet und gestreift sein wegen der Family and Friends Challenge. Aber ich konnte nichts, aber auch gar nichts finden, was auch nur annähernd meinen Vorstellungen nah kam. Klar, man hat Berge über Berge an Designpapier und Papierresten, aber wenn man etwas Bestimmtes sucht, dann ist genau DAS nicht dabei. Also, was blieb mir? Ich habe mir mein Hintergrundpapier selber gemalt mit Copics.

I stamped the monster with Memento and coloured it with Copics. I then was desperately looking for some matching design paper for the background and it was supposed to be with dots and with stripes, because of the family and Friends Challenge theme. I could not find anything that would have suited my fantasy. ... Sure, we have loads of design paper and paper scraps, but if you need something particular, we can not find it. So I decided that the best fitting design paper would be a self drawn one. So I made the dotted and the striped background myself with Copics.

Ihr lieben Leser meines Blogs. Ich habe Euch unten einen Post von Google Friend Connect einkopiert. Wenn ich es richtig verstehe, dann kann diese Umstellung dazu führen, dass einige von Euch ohne Google Account keine News Alerts von meinem Blog mehr bekommen.

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

Viel Glück im neuen Jahr

Jetzt ist das Jahr schon vier Tage alt und ich habe Euch noch gar nicht meine Karte mit den Glückwünschen für das Jahr 2016 gezeigt. Ich wünsche Euch allen alles alles Liebe und Gute für das Jahr!

The new year is already four days old now and I still did not show you my card with the good luck wishes for 2016. I wish you all loads of love and luck for the new year!

Die Karte habe ich für einen Kartentausch gemacht. Der Stempel ist mit Memento auf Stampin Up flüsterweiß gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert. Auch die grauen Punkte sind damit gemalt. Die weißen Punkte habe ich wieder mit meinem geliebten Signo white Marker gemalt. Die Kleeblätter sind gestempelt und ausgeschnitten, wohingegen ich den Pilz selber entworfen habe.

I made the card for a card swap. The stamp is stamped with Memento and colouored with Copics. I also drew the grey dots with Copics and the white ones with my beloved Signo marker. The clovers are stamped and fuzzy cut, whereas the mushroom is hand made.

Ein paar Tage läuft mein Blog-Candy noch. Den Link dorthin findet ihr in der Seitenleiste oben rechts. Vielleicht bringt Euch das Schweinchen ja dazu schon Glück. Es hat auch bereits einige Sneak Peeks mit den Gewinnen gegeben.

Be a star

Du mußt in Deinem eigenen Licht erstrahlen, so heißt es in diesem Spruch; Deinen eigenen Weg gehen und Dich nicht vor der Dunkelheit fürchten, weil dort die Sterne besonders hell leuchten. 

You must shine your own light and not worry about the darkness, since that is where the stars shine brightest. This is what the sentiment from today´s card tells us.

So versuche ich es immer. Meinen eigenen Weg zu gehen. Ich zu sein. Im Bastelleben wird man natürlich von anderen inspiriert und animiert neue Wege zu gehen, aber im Endeffekt muß man immer schauen, dass man seine persönliche Note nicht verliert.

This is what I try to do. Go my own way. Be myself. In the crafty world one is being inspired by others an supported to try out new ways, but in the end you need to hold on to your own mark.

Für die Karte haben mich die Farben der Colour Q Challenge und der Sketch von CAS(E) the Sketch inspiriert. Aus der Vorderseite habe ich einen Stern ausgestanzt und mit einem Bleistift die Konturen auf dem weißen Papier mit dem gestempelten Spruch markiert, so dass ich den Stern in den Schattierungen mit Copics anpassen konnte. Die Sterne sind embosst in gold und glitzern.

The colours of the current challenge of Colour Q and the sketch of CAS(E) the Sketch have inspired my to the design of this card. I cut out the star from the front and drew the outer lines with a pencil on the white paper with the stamped sentiment so that I could underline the shades of the star with Copics. The little stars are embossed with gold powder and they glimmer.

Wow, 2016 ist da!!! Ich hoffe, dass Ihr alle gut in das neue Jahr gekommen seid. Was es wohl bringen mag? Heute startet nicht nur das neue Jahr, sondern auch ein neuer Monat und das bedeutet eine neue Challenge bei den Animal Friends. Ich bin auch im neuen Jahr weiterhin im Designteam dabei und möchte Euch heute meine erste Inspiration für das Jahr und für die neue Challenge zeigen.  
Wohoo, 2016 is here! I hope you all had a great start into the year. So exciting what it might bring for us. Today not only a new year starts, but also a new month and that means, we have a new challenge at the Animal Friends for you. I will continue to be in the design team in 2016 and therefore I would like to show you my first inspiration for the new year and the new challenge today.
