Visible Wednesday - Life hearts

Das Leben ist, was Du daraus machst. Wow, mal wieder eine Hammer Aussage, oder? Ich liebe diese Sprüche von Helen, eine der zwei wunderbaren Personen hinter Visible Image. Und so hatte ich schon vor einiger Zeit die Idee mit den Herzen, die ich so auf einer Leinwand anordnen würde und unten rechts dann einen Spruch zu platzieren. Wer mich kennt, der weiß, dass das bei mir eher selten vorkommt. Also, dass ich vorher weiß, wie meine Karte hinterher ausschauen wird. :) Aber seid versichert, auch bei diesem Projekt war vorher nicht klar, wie es im Detail hinterher ausschauen wird. 


Life is what you make it. Wow, that's another killer statement, huh? I love that line from Helen, one of the two wonderful owners of Visible Image. And so I had the idea some time ago with the hearts, which I would arrange like this on a canvas and then place a saying at the bottom right. The ones who know me, are aware that this happens rather rarely with me. I usually do not know beforehand how my card will look like in the end. But you can be sure, even with this project it wasn't clear before how it will look in detail afterwards. 

Jedes dieser Herzen macht sich das Leben so, wie es ihm gefällt. Und schaut mal, wie schön diese Vielfalt ist! Ja, ich habe bewußt etwas ganz Schönes für jedes einzelne Herz gewählt. Und habt Ihr bemerkt, was um die Herzen herum alles so los ist? Aber auch hier: das sind eigentlich "nur" Kleckse und Kritzelkreise, aber wie toll und wunderschön ist dieses Zusammenspiel? Dein Leben ist das, was Du draus machst - schau Dich um!

Each of these hearts makes its life as it pleases. And look how beautiful this variety is! Yes, I have consciously chosen something very beautiful for each individual heart. And look at what's going on around the hearts! But also here: these are splotches and doodle circles, but how great and beautiful is this interaction? Life is what you make of it - look around you!
  

Dein Leben ist das, was Du daraus machst . und ja, ist es nicht genau das, woran wir uns immer erinnern sollten? Ja, es mag manchmal sehr schwer sein, wenn Du Dich miserabel fühlst, weil das Leben Dir grade zeimlich was aufbürdet oder Du eine schwere Zeit bewältigen musst, vielleicht eine harte Aufgabe. Aber am Ende liegt es an DIR! Du hälst die Strippen in Deinen Händen. Deine Augen können die Welt grau oder strahlend machen. 
Ich wünsche Euch alle Kraft, um dies jeden Tag wieder zu realisieren, ganz besonders, wenn es Euch schlecht geht.

Life is what you make it - and indeed, isn´t that, what we should always remind us of? Yes, it might be hard sometimes, when you are feeling miserable because life gave you a hard time or you need to deal with a tough task. But in the end it is about YOU! You hold the strings in your hands. Your eyes can make the world grey or bright. 
I wish you all have the power to realize this every day and especially when you are down.

Ich habe begonnen, dass ich Herzen mit meinen LYRA Kreiden gemalt habe, die ich so selten benutzt habe bislang. Aber ich wollte etwas mit ganz toll leuchtenden Farben und tatsächlich ist das Ergebnis so mega leuchtend geworden. Dank der Clearstamps konnte ich immer ungefähr die Größe abschätzen, die ich malen musste, denn ich wollte die Herzen ja dann später in schwarz am Rand stempeln. Ich habe mir die Farben des Regenbogens ausgesucht. 

I started to paint hearts with my LYRA chalks, which I have used so rarely until now. But I wanted something with great bright colours and actually the result is so wonderfully shiny. Thanks to the clearstamps I was always able to estimate the size I needed to paint, because I wanted to stamp the hearts in black on the edges later. I took the colours of the rainbow for my project. 



In einem zweiten Schritt habe ich dann die Farben mit einem Pinsel und Wasser vermalt und helle und dunklere Stellen zugefügt. Ich habe sie gut trocknen lassen und dann mit Versafine die Herzen drauf gestempelt und sie von Hand ausgeschnitten. 

In a second step I mixed the colours with a brush and water and added light and darker areas. I let them dry well and then stamped the hearts on them with Versafine and fussy-cut them. 


Anschließend habe ich noch helle Flecken mit Wasser gemacht und dunklere indem ich Farbe mit einem Pinsel verspritzt habe. Auf die widerum getrockneten Herzen habe ich mit Acrylstiften weiße und schwarze Akzente gesetzt. Die Herzen habe ich etwas an den Rändern hoch gebogen und mit unterschiedlich dicken Abstandspads befestigt. 

Afterwards I made light spots with water and darker spots by spraying paint on the hearts with a brush. On the again dried hearts I set white and black accents with acrylic pencils. I bent the hearts a little bit up at the edges and fixed them with spacer pads of different thicknesses. 

Für meinen Hintergrund habe ich die Stempel aus mehreren Sets von Visible Image kombiniert. Ich nenne diese Art von stempeln ja immer "Schmuddeligmacher", viele Stempler benutzen sie für Mixed Media Techniken und oft werden sie in dunklen Farbtönen verwendet. Aber ich wollte sie gern in den passenden frohen Farben einsetzen, um meinen Herzen eine perfekte Umgebung zu machen und sie nett in Szene zu setzen. Die Linien unten am Rand sind wieder mit einem Acrylstift gemalt. 
 
For my background I have combined the stamps from several sets of Visible Image stamps. I always call this kind of stamps "grubby maker". Many stampers use them for mixed media techniques and often they are used in dark colours. But I wanted to use them in the right happy colours to set a perfect scene for my hearts and let them feel good. The lines at the bottom of the square are again painted with an acrylic pencil.
