Ihr kennt mich, dass ich eher knallige Farben verwende. Und ja, das neue Set von Visible Image "Happy Day" verlockt sowohl von den Farben auf der Verpackung als auch von der Art der Stempel wohl leicht zu farbenfrohen Projekten. Aber ich bin dann total in die romantische Welt abgetaucht. Ich wollte gern ein Herz aus Blumen machen. Dazu passte dann auch der Text aus dem ebenfalls neuen Set "Equality, Hope & Love".
You know me to use bright colours. And yes, the new set of Visible Image "Happy Day" tempts you to create colourful projects, both from the colours on the packaging and from the kind of stamps. But then I totally dived into the romantic world. I wanted to make a heart of flowers. The text from the new set "Equality, Hope & Love" also fit so well to it.
Zunächst einmal mussten ganz viele Blumen her. Da ich noch nicht genau sagen konnte, wie viele ich brauchen werde, habe ich erst einmal -wie ich dachte- reichlich davon gestempelt. Es stellte sich nachher heraus, dass ich dann doch nochmal mehr brauchte.
First of all, I needed a lot of flowers. Since I could not yet say exactly how many I would need in the end, I first - as I thought - stamped a lot of them. It turned out later that I needed more then again. Diese vielen Blümchen habe ich dann erst mit Polychromos koloriert und dann von Hand ausgeschnitten. Und ja, ich habe mich so sehr nach meiner neuen Brille gesehnt, die ich bald bekommen werde :)
Den Blüten habe ich Dimension verliehen mit Hilfe eines Holzstabs. Jedes einzelne Blütenblatt wurde darüber rund gebogen. Um die Blumen schön in Herzform arrangieren zu können, habe ich mir ein Herz aus einem Stück Pappe gestanzt, das ich mit Acrylfarbe bemalt hatte. Darauf habe ich die Blumen mit sehr kleinen Abstandspads aufgeklebt.
I have given the flowers dimension with the help of a wooden stick. Every single petal was bent round over it. In order to arrange the flowers beautifully in the heart shape, I die cut a heart out of a piece of cardboard which I had painted with acrylic paint. I glued the flowers with very small spacer pads onto it.
Im Hintergrund meines Herzens habe ich das Muster mit Distress Oxides gestempelt. Der Farbton entspricht demjenigen der Herzen, welche ich allerdings mit Distress Ink gestempelt hatte. An den Rändern meines Hintergrundes habe ich ein paar Falze gezogen. Hinterlegt habe ich den Hintergrund mit einem Stück Designpapier und einer weißen Basiskarte.
Zu guter Letzt habe ich noch einige Nuvo Drops aufgetragen.
In the background of my heart I have stamped the pattern with Distress Oxides. The colour tone is the same as the hearts, but I stamped them with Distress Ink. At the edges of my background I made some folds. I backed the background with a piece of design paper and a white base card.
Finally I applied some Nuvo Drops.
