Vibrant colour flash

Nach der eher dezenten CAS Karte von gestern habe ich heute einen leuchtenden Farbflash für Euch. Ganz besonders daran ist, dass ich die Blumen selbst gezeichnet habe.
After the rather discreet CAS card of yesterday I have a vibrant color flash for you today. What's special about it is that I drew the flowers myself.

Für die Karte habe ich versucht, mit Brusho-Kristallen im unteren Bereich grüne Strukturen zu machen und im oberen Bereich zwei gelb-orange Flächen. Ich habe auf Fotopapier gearbeitet, darauf werden die Farben schön brillant. In die geschaffene bunte Fläche habe ich dann die Blumen mit Stielen und Blättern gedoodelt. Die Farben und Schattierungen habe ich in den Blumen und Blättern mit Markern nachgearbeitet. Das Motiv habe ich auf schwarzer Karte gemattet und den gestanzten Schriftzug aufgeklebt.
For the card I tried to make green structures with Brusho crystals in the lower area and two yellow-orange areas in the upper area. I have worked on photo paper since the colours become beautifully brilliant on it. I then doodled the flowers with stalks and leaves into the coloured space. I reworked the colors and shades in the flowers and stems with markers. Then I matted the motif on a black card and glued on the die cut sentiment (which says "to your birthday").

Vielleicht ist es ja, weil ich derzeit so viel im Garten mache.... unter anderem habe ich mich um die Aussaat meiner Blumenwiese gekümmert, dass ich Karten zu diesem Thema gestalte. Aber auch heute haben mich, neben meinem Garten und dem herrlichen Gefühl draußen zu sein, drei wundervolle Challenges inspiriert. 
Maybe it is because I am currently doing so much in my garden..... among other things I took care of the sowing of my flower meadow, that I create cards on this topic. But today again, besides my garden and the wonderful feeling of being outside, three wonderful challenges have inspired me.

Fokussieren möchte ich mich heute auf eine neue Technik, die ich bislang nicht kannte. Es handelt sich um die Gummiband Technik. Dazu wickelt man einige Gummibänder um einen Klotz (z.B. einen Acrylstempelblock) und stempelt dann damit, oder rollt über das Blatt. So sah das bei mir aus. Ich wollte gerne ein Rasenmuster schaffen für den Hintergrund. Super! Das muss ich unbedingt nochmal einsetzen.
Today I would like to focus on a new technique that I did not know before. It's the rubber band technique. Wrap some rubber bands around a block (e.g. an acrylic stamp block) and stamp with it, or roll over the sheet. That's what it looked like in my case. I wanted to create a lawn pattern for the background. Great! I definitely need to make use of this technique again.

Ansonsten habe ich für diese Karte noch zwei Stempel aus dem Monatsset April von Anne 581 benutzt. Die Blümchen habe ich ein paar mal nebeneinander gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert.
Otherwise I used two stamps from Anne 581's April set for this card. I stamped the flowers a few times next to each other and coloured them with Copics.

Fantasy flowers

Habt Ihr es auch als Kind geliebt, Fantasieblumen zu malen? Blumen, die schnörkelig waren, Muster hatten oder Dschungel-artige Blütenkelche, aus denen weitere Blüten kamen? Der Fantasie waren keine Grenzen gesetzt und ebenso war man in der Farbwahl völlig frei. Toll! ... und ich liebe es immer noch. Und so kann ich die Frage nach meiner Lieblingsblume, die die "As you like it Challenge" stellt, damit beantworten, dass ich beim selber Gestalten Fantasieblumen liebe: Bunt, schrill, spacy :) Kein Wunder also, dass ich die PaperArsty Stempelsets so mag.
Did you also love to paint fantasy flowers as a child? Flowers that were ornate, had patterns or jungle-like calyxes from which other flowers came? There were no limits to the imagination and the choice of colours was completely free. Sigh! ... and I still love it. And so I can answer the question about my favourite flower, which the "As you like it Challenge" asks with the fact that I love fantasy flowers when crafting: colorful, shrill, spooky :) So no wonder I love the PaperArtsy stamp sets.
 

Für die heutige Karte habe ich zum Maskieren mit Rubbelkrepp gearbeitet. Das funktioniert super! Ich habe also als erstes meine Fantasieblumen mit Versamark gestempelt und in schwarz embosst. Dann habe ich die Rubbelkrepp-Flüssigkeit mit einem Pinsel aufgetragen. Das ganze habe ich über Nacht trocknen lassen. Den Hintergrund habe ich dann mit Distress Oxides und Strukturpaste gestaltet: Matschen, Tupfen, Schablonieren. Als alles schön trocken war konnte ich den Rubbelkrepp super wieder abrubbeln. Voilá, eine schöne weiße, jungfräuliche Fläche um sie mit Alkoholmarkern (Letraset Trias und Copics) zu bemalen. Hach, auch irgendwie wie in Kindertagen, dieses Ausmalen. Einfach schön!  Zum Schluß habe ich die Karte noch mit einem ausgestanzen Hello versehen, die Löcher gestanzt und in ein paar von ihnen die Schnüre verknotet.


For today's card I worked with liquid frisket to mask the motif. This works great! First I stamped my fantasy flowers with Versamark and embossed them in black. Then I applied the liquid frisket with a brush. I left the whole thing to dry overnight. I created the background with distress oxides and structural paste: Smooshing, dabbing, stenciling. When everything was nice and dry I was able to rub down the liquid frisket again. Voilá, a beautiful white virgin surface to be painted with alcohol markers (Letraset Trias and Copics). Woho, also somehow like in childhood, this coloring. Simply beautifully relaxing!  Finally I provided the card with a die cut Hello, punched the holes and knotted the strings into a few of them.

Wie Ihr vielleicht mitbekommen habt, mache ich ja wieder an der ein oder anderen Challenge mit. Kürzlich hat eine meiner Karten (diese hier: KLICK) bei der Retro Rubber Challenge gewonnen und ich wurde eingeladen als Gastdesignerin bei der heute startenden Challenge mitzuwirken. Wie Ihr sehen könnt, habe ich mich sowohl von den Gegenständen auf dem Foto als auch von den Farben inspirieren lassen. Obendrein habe ich noch das Paisleymuster vom Regenschirm in meinem Hintergrund übernommen. 

Meine Karte ist eine Schüttelkarte. Die kleinen türkisen Perlen kann man wie Regentropfen kugeln lassen. Für das Innere meiner Schüttelkarte habe ich zwei Lagen Moosgummi gestanzt. Das ist eine super praktische Alternative zu Abstandspads. So ist der Schüttelbereich rund herum dicht und es kann nichts rausrutschen.

As you can see, I was inspired by both the objects on the photo and the colors. On top of that I took over the paisley pattern from the umbrella in my background.
My card is a shaker card. The small turquoise pearls can be rolled like raindrops. For the inside of my shaker card I punched two layers of foam rubber. This is a very practical alternative to foam pads. This way the shaking area is tight all around and nothing can slip out.
 
Wie Ihr ja wisst, sollen bei der Retro Rubber Challenge unsere guten alten Schätze benutzt werden. Sowohl der Regenschirm und die Gummistiefel als auch das Paisleymuster sind schon sehr sehr viele Jahre (mindestens 8-10) in meinem Besitz. Kombiniert habe ich sie mit einem meiner neusten Stempel, dem Spruch aus dem Märzstempelset von Anne581.

As you know, the Retro Rubber Challenge is to use our good old treasures. Both the umbrella and the rubber boots as well as the paisley pattern have been in my possession for many years (at least 8-10). I combined it with one of my newest stamps, the saying from Anne581's March stamp set.

Drei vereint mit emboss resist

Kennt Ihr das? Ihr seht einen Sketch und denkt:"Oh, der ist aber toll!". Oder Ihr seht eine Farbkombination und seid gleich verliebt. Oder Ihr lest, dass eine bestimmte Technik in einer Challenge gefragt wird, die Ihr gerne mal wieder machen wolltet. So geschehen bei dieser Karte, die drei tolle Herausforderungen in sich vereint: Einen Sketch, eine Farbkombination und eine Technik. Die Details und Links zu den Challenges findet Ihr, wie immer, am Ende meines Posts.
Do you know this? You see a sketch and think, "Oh, that's great!" Or you see a colour combination and are in love. Or you read that a certain technique is asked in a challenge that you would like to try again. That's what happened with this card that combines three great challenges: a sketch, a color combination and a technique. You can find all details and link to the challenges at the end of my post as always.

Mittlerweile habt Ihr ja mitbekommen, dass ich eine große Freundin von den Distress Oxides bin. Sie haben so eine tolle Deckkraft und die Farben sind klasse!  So habe ich als erstes die Streifen auf der Karte mit der Emboss-Resist-Technik gezaubert. Wie geht das? Emboss resist heißt eigentlich, dass Ihr etwas in einer Farbe embosst (meist farblos auf weißem Untergrund oder weiß) und dann mit einer Farbe drüber malt, so dass das embosste Motiv hinterher durchscheint. In meinem speziellen Fall musste ich aber erst einmal eine Schablone für die Streifen machen. Ich habe dafür die Außerränder mit Washitape abgeklebt. (Irgendwie fühle ich mich ein bisschen von meinem Washitape an der Nase herum geführt. Wenn ich will, dass es klebt, dann krempelt es sich immer wieder hoch und ich muss es irgendwie mit anderem Kleber oder Tesafilm befestigen. Wenn ich will, dass es sich wieder ablöst, dann klebt es bombenfest!). Dann habe ich in den ersten Streifen mit dem Blumenstempel einige Abdrücke mit Versamark gemacht und mit farblosem Embossingpulver embosst. Danach habe ich die Distress Oxide Farbe aufgetragen. Ebenso bin ich danach beim zweiten Streifen vorgegangen. 

Meanwhile you have noticed that I am a great friend of the Distress Oxides. They have such great covering power and the colours are gorgeous!  The first thing I did was to conjure up the stripes on the card using the emboss erstist technique. How do you do that? Emboss resist actually means that you emboss something in one color (usually colorless on white background or white) and then paint a colour over it so that the embossed motif shines through afterwards. In my special case, however, I first had to make a template for the stripes. I covered the outside edges with washi tape. (Somehow I feel a bit led by my washi tape. When I want it to stick, it keeps rolling up and I have to fix it somehow with other glue or adhesive tape. When I want it to come off again, then it sticks firmly!). Then I stamped the flower stamp a few times in thr first stripe with Versamark and embossed them with transparent embossing powder. Then I applied the Distress Oxide paint. Afterwards, I went the same way with the second stripe.

Die mint-farbenen Blumen habe ich mit Memento gestempelt, mit Tria Letraset Markern Copics und Buntstiften koloriert, ausgeschnitten und mit Abstandshaltern auf der Karte fixiert. 
I stamped the mint coloured flowers with Memento, coloured them with Tria Letraset markers, Copics and crayons, fuzzy cut them and fixed them on the card with foam pads.

Heute habe ich eine ganz besondere Karte für Euch, denn diese Karte habe ich für die Aktion von Veronica Zalis gemacht. Sie hat den Stamping For Autism Awareness Blog Hop ins Leben gerufen und organisiert. Alle Details dazu findet Ihr hier (KLICK).

Es handelt sich um eine One-Layer Karte. Begonnen habe ich damit, das Mosaik-artige Muster mit einer Schablone aufzutragen. Dafür habe ich mit zwei Farben Distress Oxides gearbeitet. Nachdem ich dann die Schablone abgenommen hatte, habe ich noch etwas von dem Blauton mit einem Pinsel aufgetragen, damit es nicht ganz so hart wirkte. Die tollen Worte sind aus dem Monatsstempelset von Anne581 und von Alexandra Renke.
It is a one-layer card. I started by applying the mosaic-like pattern with a stencil. For this I have worked with two colours of Distress Oxides. After I took off the stencil, I applied some of the blue tone with a brush so that it didn't look quite as hard. The nice words are from the April stamp set of Anne 581 and Alexandra Renke; they read "just wonderful, pet person, great, great, great".

... ach nee, das hieß ja "Girls just want to have fun", hihi. Aber dieser Flamingo hat mich irgendwie an das Lied erinnert und die Sonnenbrillen und Farben machen so gute Laune, oder? So ein bisschen Sommerstimmung habt Ihr Euch jetzt aber auch endlich verdient nach den vielen Oster- und Weihnachtskarten der letzten Tage.
... oh no, that song went "Girls just want to have fun", hihi. But this flamingo somehow reminded me of the song and the sunglasses and colours make me feel so good, right? Now you finally deserve such a little summer atmosphere after the many Easter and Christmas cards of the last days.

Der Flamingo ist ein multi-Schritt Stempel-Set. Man stempelt also erst einmal in einer helleren Farbe die unterste Schicht und dann nach und nach die weiteren detaillierteren Teile des Motivs in dunkelren Farben darüber. Man muss da schon ganz schön aufpassen, dass alles mehr oder weniger an der richtigen Stelle sitzt, damit der Schnabel nicht plötzlich in der Luft hängt zum Beispiel. Auch hier habe ich die Stempelplattform benutzt, damit ich nochmal nachstempeln könnte, sollte der Abdruck noch nicht so satt sein, aber die Distress Oxides haben auch diesmal ganze Arbeit geleistet und ich war jeweils mit dem ersten Abdruck zufrieden. Nach dem Stempeln kommt dann noch ein spannender Schritt, denn die Stempel haben ein passendes Stanzenset. Man muss gut aufpassen, dass die Stanze in der Maschine nicht verrutscht und man den Flamingo nicht aus Versehen köpft!
The flamingo is a multi-step stamp set. So you stamp the bottom layer first in a lighter color and then gradually stamp the other more detailed parts of the motif over it in darker colors. You have to be very careful that everything is more or less in the right place, so that the beak does not suddenly hang in the air, for example. Here too I used the stamp platform so that I could re-stamp the impression if it wasn't so full, but the Distress Oxides did a great job again this time and I was always satisfied with the first impression. After stamping there is another exciting step, because the stamps have a matching set of dies. You have to be careful that the die does not slip in the machine and that you do not accidentally head the flamingo!

Weihnachtsbäume zu Ostern?

Weihnachtsbäume zu Ostern? - das habt Ihr Euch vielleicht gefragt, aber ich dachte mir, dass ich Euch nach den vielen Osterkarten mal eine Weihnachtskarte einstreue :) Das bringt Euch vielleicht wieder in die Balance. Es gibt ja Leute, die machen das ganze Jahr über Weihnachtskarten. Weil sie sie so lieben, oder weil sie vorbereitet sein wollen, oder weil es einfach Spaß macht! Vielleicht haben sie aber auch einfach sooo viele Weihnachtsstempel ... ( wie jeder Stempler? hihi). Und es gibt ja auch Challenge Blogs für Weihnachtskarten.

Christmas trees for Easter? - this is perhaps what you asked yourself, but I thought I would throw in a Christmas card after the many Easter cards. :) Maybe that brings you back into balance again. There are people who make Christmas cards the whole year long. Maybe they just love Christmas cards, or they want to be well prepared or just because it is fun to make Christmas cards! Maybe they have so many Christmas stamps... (as every stamper? hihi). And there are indeed also challenge blogs with Christmas as their special focus.

Für die Karte habe ich ein sehr altes Stempelset von Stampin Up hervorgekramt. Bzw. fiel es mir in die Hände, als ich in der Weihnachtsstempelkiste gekramt habe und da kam mir gleich die Idee mit dem Embossen. Wie so viele von uns habe ich so schöne alte Sets, die man gar nicht alle benutzen kann, aber mit der Idee wurde dem Set neuer Wind eingehaucht.
Ich habe zunächst den Baum mit Markern angemalt und leicht angehaucht und abgestempelt (dreimal :)). Dann habe ich auf die getrockneten Bäume die jeweiligen Muster mit Versamark gestempelt und mit unterschiedlichen Embossingpulvern bestreut und erhitzt. Dazu habe ich auch mal wieder in den Tiefen der Embossingschublade gekramt, ich habe soooo schöne Pülverchen! Ganz links ist ein besonders glitzerndes gold und der Baum rechts hat ein Pulver, das sich aus verschiedenen (Herbst-)Tönen zusammen setzt.

For the card I have brought out a very old stamp set from Stampin Up. It fell into my hands when I rummaged around in the Christmas stamp box and then I immediately had the idea with the embossing. Like so many of us, I have such nice old sets that you can't use them all, but with the idea I breathed new life into the set.
First I painted the tree with markers, slightly breathed on it and stamped it (three times:)). Then I stamped the respective patterns with Versamark on the dried trees and sprinkled them with different embossing powders and heated them to melt the powder. In addition I have rummaged once again in the depths of the embossing drawer, I have soooooo beautiful powders! On the far left is a particularly glittering gold and the tree on the right has a powder composed of various (autumn) tones.

Habt Ihr auch schon Ostereier gesucht? Wir hatten die Freude mit meinem kleinen Sohn, der mit Begeisterung seine Fundsachen in das Körbchen gelegt hat. 
Ich hatte Euch ja schon erzählt, dass meine Osterkarten dieses Jahr CAS (clean and simple) waren, wenn auch nicht in der klassischen Definition mit viel "white space". Hier kommen noch drei, die das gleiche Layout haben und für die ich lediglich anderes Designpapier benutzt habe.
Did you also collect Easter eggs today already? We had the fun with my little son who happily collected all the Easter goodies in his basket.
