Visible Wednesday - I am strong

Ich bin stark - Das ist nur einer der wahnsinnig tollen Worte, die in dem neuem Release von Visible Image zu finden sind. Ich konnte mich gar nicht entscheiden womit ich beginnen soll; da sind so viele so wundervolle Ausdrücke! Die heutige Karte aber soll "Ich bin stark" zum Thema haben. 
I am strong - This is only one of the amazingly rich words, which can be found in the new release of Visible Image. I could not decide for a while, which one to start with, since there are so many wonderful statements. But my card of today should have the theme "I am strong". 



Die Karte sollte einfach die Stärke zeigen und daher ist sie eher schlicht, aber markant gestaltet. Ich kann mir tausende von Bedeutungen dafür vorstellen und viele Geschichten dahinter und hoffe, dass auch Ihr Euch hier wiederfindet. 
The card should simply show the strength and therefore it is rather simple, but striking in its design. I can imagine thousands of meanings for it and stories behind it and hope that you will also find yourself here.

Wie ich die Karte gestaltet habe:
How I made this card:

Der Hintergrund meiner Karte ist ein Stück beige-farbener Karton, den ich mit Gesso bestrichen habe. Ich habe die Schablone "Stars & Stripes" für die Streifen benutzt, die ich mit Distress Oxides gemacht habe. Die Ränder habe ich ebenfalls mit Distress Oxides angefärbt.  
Meine Hauptfigur habe ich aus einem dunklen Karton gemacht, der eine Struktur hat. Durch Behandlung mit Gesso ist dieser besondere Effekt entstanden. Ich habe die Person darauf mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und ausgeschnitten. Hier kamen wieder die Distress Oxides zum Zuge. Die Ränder habe ich mit einem schwarzen Stift nachgefahren. Ebenso habe ich es mit dem Text gemacht. Für die Sprtizer habe ich ein wenig Farbe von den Distress Oxides mit einem Pinsel aufgenommen, mit Wasser vermischt und über die karte gespritzt.

The background of my card is a beige cardstock, which I treated with some Gesso. I used the stencil "Stars & Stripes" to create the stripes with Distress Oxides. I also dyed the edges of it with Distress Oxides. 
My main character is made from a dark piece of cardstock, which had some structure. After treatment with Gesso I achieved this special look. I stamped the person onto it with Ink on 3 and fussy cut it. Again, my Distress Oxides were used for staining the edges. I coloured the outerlines in black with a pen. The text was made the same way. For the splashes I took some ink from the Distress inks with a brush, added water and sprinkled it over the card.

Kleiner Tip zum Embossen

Heute habe ich mal wieder eine Karte mit einem Stempel als Hauptmotiv, der ganz allein so toll ausschaut, dass ich ihn nur durch Kleinigkeiten ergänzt habe. Nun ja, also ich habe ihn zweimal gestempelt, aber auch das nur am Rand und nicht ganz ... ach, Ihr seht es ja selbst hier, hihihi. Es handelt sich um eine OLC, also "One Layer Card" (Karte aus nur einer Ebene), wobei diese Definition in manchen Challenges sehr eng gefasst wird, da darf man dann wirklich nur ein Stück Karton nehmen und ihn in der Mitte falten und mehr nicht. An den Challenges, welche ich heute unter anderem im Visier habe, darf man aber noch das Motiv matten und vielleicht auch noch ein paar Glitzersteinchen zufügen. 
Today I have again a card with a stamp as main motive, which looks so great all by itself, that I only added some small things to it. Well, so I stamped it twice, but also only on the edge and not quite ... oh, you see it yourself here, hihihi. It's an OLC, so "One Layer Card", whereby this definition is very narrow in some challenges, where you can only take a piece of cardboard and fold it in the middle and nothing more. But on the challenges, which I have in my sights today among others, you can still matte the motif and perhaps add a sparkling stone also.  


Die Schneeflocken habe ich mit Versamark gestempelt und in silber embosst. Ein paar Bereiche habe ich mit weißem Polychromos ausgemalt und Glossy Accents drauf gegeben. Der Text ist ebenfalls mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. Ein kleiner Tip zum Embossen habe ich heute für Euch. Es gibt so genannte Embossing-Buddies. Das sind Säckchen mit ganz feinem Pulver drin. Ihr könnt es Euch auch mit Babypuder selber machen. Mit diesem reibt Ihr ein bisschen über Eure Karte vor dem embossen. Ihr erreicht dadruch, dass das Embossingpulver nur an den Stellen haften bleibt wo Ihr gestempelt habt. Ansonsten findet man oft kleine Reste auf der ganzen Karte verteilt.... weil man dort vielleicht vorher angefasst hat oder so. 
Die weißen Punkte habe ich selber gezeichnet und dann noch ein paar Glitzersteine aufgeklebt. 

I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and embossed them in silver. I painted a few areas with white Polychromos and added Glossy Accents to them. The text is also stamped with Versamark and embossed in white. It reads "winer greetings". Today I have a little tip for your  embossing process for you. There are so-called embossing buddies. These are bags with very fine powder in them. You can also make one yourself with baby powder. With this you rub a little bit over your card before embossing. By this you achieve that the embossing powder sticks only at the places where you stamped. Otherwise you'll often find small remnants all over the card.... because you might have touched it before or something like that. 
I drew the white dots myself and then glued some glitter stones on.

Black & white world

Oh ja, lang erwartet und Anfang nächsten Monats endlich verfügbar: Der neue Release von Visible Image! Ich durfte mich sehr sehr glücklich schätzen, denn dieses Mal durfte ich als Teil des Designteams vor allen anderen mit den neuen Schätzen spielen. Und sie sind sooooo toll! Heute möchte ich Euch mein erstes Werk zeigen. 
Oh yes, long awaited and available from beginning of next month on: The new release at Visible Image! I could call myself lucky, since as being design team member I was -for the first time- allowed to play with the treasures before anyone else. And they are soooooo great! I would love to show you my first piece of art today.


Aus dem Set "The right direction" hat mich sofort die Häuserzeile gelockt. Als ich sie das erste mal gesehen habe, war ich gleich fasziniert davon. Und wie praktisch, dass auch wieder ein passender Mensch mit im Set ist, mit denen ich ja eh in letzer Zeit immer wieder etwas mache. Den tollen Spruch findet Ihr in dem set "Brighten th eworld". 
Die Stempel habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und dann it Copics koloriert. An der linken Seite der Karte habe ich die Striche passend zur Skyline mit einem Multiliner von Copics gezeichnet. 
I was immediately tempted by the skyline of the "The right direction". When I saw it the first time I immediately was fascinated by it. And how practical that this set also contains a matching human, one of those I love to play with in the past anyways. I used them quite often lately and they are so versatile! You can find the wonderful sentiment in the set "Brighten the world".
I stamped the stamps with Ink on 3 and coloured them with Copics. I added lines matching the style of the skyline on the left side of the card with a Copic multiliner.

Masking - Welcome Art Jypsy

Heute hatte ich mal wieder die Gelegenheit, Designpapier zu verwenden. Früher habe ich es so oft benutzt, doch in letzter Zeit ist es wirklich eine Seltenheit geworden. Dabei ist es ja so praktisch, gell? Hier bildet es einen netten Untergrund für meinen Weihnachtsstern. 
Today I once again had the opportunity to use design paper. In the past I used it so often, but lately it has really become a rarity. It's so practical, isn't it? Here it forms a nice background for my poinsettia. 



Den Weihnachtsstern habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und mit Copics und Polychromos koloriert. Er ist von Hand mit der schere ausgeschnitten. Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Weihnachtsstern mehrmals versetzt in einem hellen Ton gestempelt. Den Schriftzug habe ich dafür mit einem Post It abgedeckt. Die Punkte am Rand sind von Hand gemalt. Die Halbperlen sind Nuvo Drops. 
In zweien der Challenges, an denen ich mit meiner Karte teilnehmen möchte wird nach einer Technik gefragt. Die eine möchte spezifisch die maskierung als technik sehen und die andere fragt allgemein nach einer Technik, die man benutzen soll. Bei meiner Karte habe ich eigentlich zwei Techniken verwendet. Die eine also das Maskieren, welches mir in meinem Fall ermöglicht, den Schriftzug nicht mit den Weihnachtssternen zu überstempeln. Dazu benutze ich oft einfach ein kleines per hand zugeschnittenes Stück Post it, wie Ihr dies hier im Foto sehen könnt. 
Die zweite Technik ist das, was ich anschließend gemacht habe. Nämlich, dass ich das Motiv mehrere Male als Hintergrund in einer neutralen Farbe gestempelt habe. Das passt das super zum Hauptmotiv, welches koloriert ist.

I stamped the poinsettia with Ink on 3 and coloured it with Copics and Polychromos. It is cut out by hand with scissors. For the background I stamped the poinsettia several times in a light tone. I covered the lettering with a Post It paper. The dots on the edge are painted by hand. The half pearls are Nuvo Drops.  
In two of the challenges, in which I would like to participate with my card, a technique is asked for. One specifically wants to see masking as a technique and the other generally asks for a technique to use. I actually used two techniques on my card. One is masking, which in my case allows me not to overstamp the lettering with the poinsettias. For this I often simply use a small piece of Post it cut by hand, as you can see in the photo above. 
The second technique is what I did afterwards. Namely, that I stamped the motive several times as a background in a neutral colour. This then fits perfectly to the main motive, which is coloured.

Mein Monat 2019-09

Ich glaube, im Monat September habe ich so einige Highlights gemacht. Jedenfalls haben mir einige dieser Karte ganz tolles Feedback von Euch eingebracht. Sei es hier auf meinem Blog, auf Instagram oder in den diversen Facebook-Gruppen.
I guess I made quite a few highlights in September. There was a lot of positive feedback from your end on several of the cards here on the stempelfrida blog, on Instagram and in the various Facebook groups. I do appreciate it so much! Thank you.


Neben dem Thema Meer mit seinen Blautönen kamen auch schon die Themen Herbst und Weihnachten auf. Witziger Weise noch nichts zum Thema Winter, aber das kommt bestimmt bald. Ganz besonders habe ich versucht, meine Kolorationstechnik zuverbessern. Was habt ihr so gemacht im September?
Besides the theme ocean with its blue tones there were the topics autumn and Christmas, but funnily no winter yet. I am sure this will come soon as well. I especially tried to focus a bit on improving my colouration skills. What did you do in September?

Saurier macht lustig

Saurier macht lustig - oder wie heißt das? :) Dieser kleine Süße ist einer in dem neuen Dinosaurierset, welches im November-Release von Scrapbook Forever mit dabei sein wird. Der Spruch ist doch auch voll klasse dazu, oder? ... ich habe ihn noch mit dem "Dino" versehen, welches ich mit den Buchstabenstanzen von Scrapbook Forever ausgestanzt habe.
I am playing with a little pun here on my card. In Germany we call dinosaurs "Dinosaurier". But "sauer" also means "sour" and saurer means "more sour". There is also the saying that "sour makes fun". So in English I would sum up the pun with: Dinosours make fun - or what's it called? :) 
This little sweetie is one in the new dinosaur set that will be included in the November release of Scrapbook Forever. I have provided it with the word part "Dino", which I punched out with the letter dies of Scrapbook Forever.




Den dunkelblauen Hintergrund habe ich mit Acrylfarbe gemacht. Mit Abstandspads habe ich darauf den weißen Cardstock befestigt, aus dem ich das "Dino" ausgestanzt hatte und den Text sowie die Punkte gestempelt hatte. Für die Punkte habe ich den Stempel mit Wattestäbchen an den entsprechenden Stellen in unterschiedlichen Farbtönen angemalt. Unten und oben habe ich sehr kleine Punkte in grau gemalt. 
Den Dino habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und mit Copics und Polychromos koloriert. Mit einem Sakurastift habe ich noch weiße Reflexionen gezeichnet.

I made the dark blue background with acrylic paint. With spacer pads I fixed the white cardstock into which I had punched the "Dino" and stamped the text and the dots. For the dots I painted the stamp with cotton swabs in different colours at the corresponding places. At the bottom and the top I painted very small dots in grey. 

I stamped the Dino with Ink on 3 and coloured it with Copics and Polychromos. With a Sakura pen I drew white reflections.

Happy Birthday, lieber Igel

Jaaaa, das neue Set von Stamp Corner -designed by @treeebird- ist wirklich so toll. Schaut Euch mal diesen niedlichen Igel an und die Pilze sind auch noch dabei (und ich hatte Euch ja schon zwei weitere Karten gezeigt, wo noch mehr aus dem Set zu sehen war). Ich liebe den Herbst für diese besonderen Eindrücke, die er uns schenkt!
Jaaaa, the new set of Stamp Corner -designed by @treeebird- is really so great. Take a look at this cute hedgehog and the mushrooms also come along in this set (and I already showed you two more cards where you could see further stamps from the set). I love autumn for those special impressions it gives us!



Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Alkoholinks gemacht. Besser gesagt habe ich es mit einer Alkoholink gemacht. Ihr habt richtig gelesen. Es handelt sich tatsächlich nur um den Farbton denim. Er verlieft mit meiner selbst hergestellten Blenderlösung aus Isopropylakohol und Glycerin so schon in die Bestandteile. 
Den Igel und die Pilze habe ich mal wieder in einem Braunton gestempelt, damit das ganze weicher wirkt. Koloriert habe ich alles mit Copics und Polychromos. Die Girlande ist ein Stanzteil, in welches ich die Sterne gemalt und die Buchstaben geschrieben habe. Die Punkt-Schlängellinie unten habe ich mit Copic Opaque gemacht. 
I made the background with alcohol inks. Better said, I did it with one alcohol ink. You have read correctly. It's actually just the shade denim I used. With my self-produced blender solution of isopropyl alcohol and glycerine, it ran off nicely into its components. I stamped the hedgehog and the mushrooms again in a brown tone so that the whole atmosphere looks softer. I coloured everything with Copics and Polychromos. The garland is a die-cut piece in which I painted the stars and wrote the letters. I made the dot-angled line at the bottom with Copic Opaque.

Im neuen Release von Scrapbook Forever findet sich auch der Stempel eines gebrochenen Glases. Diesen habe ich für ein Aquarium benutzt. Da konnte der Fisch Reissaus nehmen. Irgendwie kommt mir da gleich die Geschichte von Nemo in den Kopf.
In the new release of Scrapbook Forever you can also find the stamp of a broken glass. I used it for an aquarium. And the fish could take advantage of it. Somehow the story of Nemo comes into my mind.


Mit meiner Karte hatte ich ganz schön zu tun! Also erstes hatte ich mir mal den Hintergrund für das Aquarium vorgenommen. Er ist mit Copics koloriert. Für die gebrochene Scheibe habe ich mir eine feste Folie genommen und darauf das gebrochene Glas mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. Bei Folie müsst Ihr mit dem Embossingfön sehr vorsichtig sein, damit sie nicht schmilzt! Den Rahmen meines Aquariums bildet eine Stanze.
Den Fisch habe ich ebenfalls mit Copics koloriert und ausgeschnitten. Für das Wasser habe ich mir eine alte Tüte genommen und sie mit Copics eingefärbt. Dann habe ich sie zusammen geknüllt und jetzt kam Geduld ins Spiel. .... ich hatte wirlich Schwierigkeiten, dass sie hielt! Mein Superkleber hat jedenfalls versagt. Einiermaßen ging es dann mit Glossy Accents. Auf das Wasser habe ich auch noch ein paar Punkte mit Glossy Accents gemacht und dann den Fisch mit Abstandspads befestigt. Das S ist ein Stanzteil, welches ich mit Copics eingefärbt habe. 
Den Rest habe ich selbst dazu gezeichnet. 
Man, my card kept me quite busy! First I designed the background for the aquarium. It is coloured with Copics. For the broken glass I took a firm foil and stamped the stamp with Versamark and embossed it in white. With foil you must be very careful with the heat gun, so that it does not melt! The frame of my aquarium is a die. 
I also coloured the fish with Copics and fussy cut it. For the water I took an old bag and dyed it with Copics. Then I crumpled it together and now patience came into play. .... I really had trouble to make it stay! Anyway, my super glue failed. To some extent it worked out then with Glossy Accents. On the water I also made a few dots with Glossy Accents and then fixed the fish with spacer pads. The S is a die-cut part, which I coloured with Copics. I drew the rest myself.
