Come on a bike tour with me

Na, wenn dieses Wetter nicht zu einer Radtour einlädt! Also hier bei mir ist es schön sonnig und derzeit auch trocken. Nun gut, es ist etwas schwül warm, aber wenn man schnell genug fährt, kann man sich ja vom Fahrtwind kühlen lassen.
Well, if this weather is not inviting for a bike tour! So here with me it is sunny and at present also dry. Sure, it is a bit muggy warm, but if you drive fast enough, you can let the airstream cool you down.

Die Karte ist fast eine reine Stanzteil-Kollage, aber einen Stempel habe ich dann doch untergerbacht. 
The card is almost a pure collage of die cut parts, but I did put one stamp under it.

Ihr habt ja sicherlich bereits den süßen Zwerg in einem meiner letzten Posts gesehen. Er hat auch eine Frau. Und wusstet ihr, dass die gerne schaukelt? Wie mein Sohn! Als ich das Inspirationsfoto von der Inkspirational Challenge gesehen habe, da wollte ich gerne ein schaukelndes Wesen als Motiv nehmen. Und da fiel mit auf, dass die Zwergin perfekt dafür geeignet war. Und ganz wie das Inspirationsfoto ist sie ja auch Elfen-gleich.

You've probably already seen the cute dwarf in one of my last posts. He's got a wife, too. And did you know she likes to rock? Like my son! When I saw the inspiration photo from the Inkspirational Challenge, I wanted to use a rocking being as a motif. And then I noticed that the dwarf woman was perfectly suited for it. And just like the inspiration photo, she's elfish, isn't she?

Zunächst habe ich die zwergin mit Memento gestempelt und dann die Schaukel und den Baum dazu gemalt. Koloriert habe ich mit Copics und Buntstiften.Den Text aus dem 2018-Aprilset von Anne581 habe ich mit Versamark gestempelt und mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst.
First I stamped the dwarf woman with Memento and then I painted the swing and the tree. I colored with Copics and crayons. I stamped the sentiment from the 2018 April stamp set from Anne581 with Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. It reads "the sun beams tickle".

Mein Monat 2018-04

Da wir gradewegs auf das Ende des Monats Mai zusteuern, wird es Zeit, Euch meine Kollage mit den Karten vom Monat April zu zeigen. So schaut sie aus. Eine witzige Kombination, denn es finden sich dort auch Osterkarten und Weihnachtskarten.

Natürlich möchte ich auch dieses Mal meine Kollage bei Anna´s Art von Ingrid verlinken. Dort findet Ihr neben der Kollage von Ingrid auch die von vielen anderen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern. Bi Ba Butzemann

Es geht ein Bi Ba Butzemann in unserem Kreis herum.... - Wer kennt dieses Lied? Mein Sohn liebt es und ich muss es oft "performen", wenn ich ihn für das Bett fertig mache. Dabei wird nicht nur gesungen, sondern auch fleißig Theater gespielt und gekitzelt :) Der kleine Zwerg hier erinnert mich sehr an die Hauptrolle in dieser Performance. So ungefähr stelle ich ihn mir vor.
There is a Bi Ba Butzemann walking around our circle..... Who knows this song? Does it exist in countries outside Germany at all? My son loves it and I often have to "perform" it when I get him ready for bed. Not only do I sing, but I also play theater and tickle my cutie :) The little dwarf here reminds me very much of the leading role in this performance. That's how I imagine him.
 

Den Zwerg habe ich mit Memento gestempelt und mit Copics koloriert. Den Punkthintergrund habe ich mit einer Schablone gemacht. Ich habe die Karte im CAS Stil gehalten für die CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge und die Farben habe ich der Color Throwdown Challenge entnommen. 
I stamped the dwarf with Memento and coloured it with Copics. I made the point background with a stencil. I kept the card in CAS style for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge and I took the colours from the Color Throwdown Challenge. The text reads:"To your lucky day"

Es ist nicht alles gold, was glänzt. Morgenstund hat gold im Mund. Ach, wie goldig! Reden ist silber, Schweigen ist gold. Goldene Zeiten. Ja, was gibt es nicht alles für Redewendungen mit gold. Und jetzt seid Ihr gefragt: Eine Challenge zum Thema gold! Hier ist meine Karte dafür.

All that glitters is not gold. The early bird catches the worm. Oh, how cute! Talk is silver, silence is golden. Golden times. Yes, there are all sorts of phrases with gold. Hihihi, you might ask yourself where the word gold is in some of those.... in the German version we have the gold in each of them. And now it's your turn: A gold challenge! Here's my card for that.

Challenge #92 - Gold

Zunächst habe ich den Hintergrund mit Distress Oxides gestaltet, den Ihr jetzt kaum noch sehen könnt, hihi. Die Muscheln habe ich auf Aquarellpapier embosst und danach mit Wasserfarbe koloriert und mit Wink of Stella beglimmert. Sowohl der Spruch als auch die Fotoecken sind ebenfalls mit Embossingpulver gestaltet. Für die Fotoecken habe ich ein Pulver mit sehr dicker Konsistenz genommen. Es heißt flüssiges gold und ist perfekt für solche Dinge. 
 
First I designed the background with Distress Oxides, which you can hardly see now, hihi. I embossed the shells on water colour paper, coloured them with water colour and glimmered them with Wink of Stella. Both the sentiment and the photo corners are also decorated with embossing powder. For the photo corners I used a powder with a very thick consistency. It's called liquid gold. Perfect for such a purpose!

Harmony between water based ink pads and Copics

Ihr kennt ihn vermutlich, diesen tollen Schmetterlingsstempel von Stampin Up. Ich mag ihn sehr. Und so habe ich ihn mal wieder rausgekramt und ihm eine Karte gewidmet. Wusstet Ihr von der Harmonie zwischen SU Markern bzw. Stempelpads und Copics? Und habt Ihr schon mal probiert mit Copics auf Fotopapier zu arbeiten? Von beidem erzähle ich Euch heute.
You probably know him, that great butterfly stamp from Stampin Up. I like him a lot. And so I dug him out again and dedicated a card to him. Did you know about the harmony between SU markers or stamp pads and Copics? And have you ever tried working with Copics on photo paper? I'll tell you about both in my post from today.

Bei meiner Karte habe ich mit glänzendem Fotopapier für das Motiv gearbeitet. Das klingt erstmal etwas komisch, denn ich habe das Motiv mit Copics koloriert. Es fühlt sich auch ein bisschen komisch an, oder anders halt und so ist auch der Effekt anders. Aber man erhält tolle brilliante Farben. Das Mischverhalten der Farben ändert sich aber komplett. Probiert es mal aus! 
Mein Motiv habe ich mit Stampin Up Stempelkissen gestempelt. Ich hatte es schonmal in anderen Posts erwähnt, aber ich kann ja nicht davon ausgehen, dass Ihr immer alles durchlest, daher erwähne ich es nochmal. Ja, tatsächlich sind Copic Marker mit Stampin Up Stempelkissen oder auch wasserbasierten Stempelkissen von anderen Firmen kompatibel. Das wissen viele nicht. Es hängt aber stark von Eurem Papier ab und Ihr solltet ein bisschen vorsichtig vorgehen und vermeiden, dass ihr mit einem sehr hellen Copic-Farbton und einem dunklen Stempelkissen arbeitet ohne es vorher mit dem Papier zu testen. Es gibt einem die Möglichkeit viele bunte Farben für die Linien zu nutzen und noch dazu kann man es prima für die No-Lines-Technique nutzen. Falls ein bisschen was vom gestempelten Motiv verloren geht, könnt Ihr mit den entsprehenden wasserbasierten Markern auch nochmal Linien nachzeichnen.

With my card I worked with glossy photo paper for the motif. That sounds a bit strange at first, because I coloured the motif with Copics. It also feels a bit weird or different and so the effect is different. But you get great brilliant colours. However, the mixing behavior of the colors changes completely. Give it a try!
I stamped my motif with Stampin Up stamp pads. I've mentioned it before in other posts, but I can't assume you always read it all, so I'll mention it again. Yes, Copic Markers are indeed compatible with Stampin Up ink pads or water-based ink pads from other companies. A lot of people don't know that. It depends a lot on your paper and you should be a little careful and avoid that you work with a very light Copic color and a dark ink pad without testing it with the respective paper first. It gives you the possibility to use many different colors for the lines and you can also use it for the No-Lines-Technique. If some of the stamped motif is lost, you can use the corresponding water-based markers to redraw lines.

Ich fand der Sketch der laufenden CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge so verlockend, dass ich noch eine Karte zaubern musste. Das Stempelset von MFT lugte so zu mir rüber und schon war die Idee da. Sommerfarben für die Dream Valley Challenge und eine One-Layer-Card für die Happy Little Stampers Challenge. Das alles natürlich CAS (Clean and Simple).
Zunächst habe ich die Ananas-se (?) gestempelt indem ich sie mit Markern angemalt habe und dann abgedrückt. Die Linien bin ich zum größten Teil nochmal mit den Markern nachgegangen. Die EINE Ananas habe ich dann noch mit Copics und Buntstiften koloriert. Ebenso den Text.
I found the sketch of the current CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge so tempting that I still had to make a card. The stamp set from MFT looked over to me and the idea was there. Summer colours for the Dream Valley Challenge and a One-Layer-Card for the Happy Little Stampers Challenge. All this of course in CAS style (clean and simple).
First I stamped the pineapples by painting with markers on the stamp and then I pressed it on the card. I drew most of the lines again with the markers. I coloured the ONE pineapples with Copics and crayons. And so I did with the text.

Maskieren ohne das Motiv abzudecken?

Es gibt so viele Möglichkeiten ein Motiv zu maskieren und manchmal braucht es eigentlich gar keine komplette Abdeckung. Schaut, ich habe es bei dieser Karte gemacht. Wie das geht? Das könnt ihr unten nachlesen.
There are so many ways to mask a motif and sometimes you don't need a complete cover. Look, I did it on this card. How to do that? You can read about it below.

Der Trick in diesem Falle ist, dass ich mit Aquarellfarben gearbeitet habe, dazu ein nicht sehr saugendes Papier, sondern eines, das fast beschichtet wirkt und das Motiv ist embosst. Nun aber mal der Reihe nach. Ich habe mir also dieses Aquarellpapier mit der besonderen Oberfläche genommen. Ein Vorteil ist, dass es die Farben nicht so gut aufnimmt, andererseits ist es auch ein Nachteil, wenn man so richtig schöne Aquarelleffekte erzielen möchte. Auf dieses Papier habe ich die gestempelten Blätter embosst. Der embosste Rand ist quasi ein Schutzwall für die Farbe. Es kann keine Farbe raus und auch keine hinein laufen. So könnt Ihr prima mit dem Pinsel um die kleinen Inseln drum herum arbeiten.
The trick in this case is that I have worked with water colors, not a very absorbent paper, but one that almost looks coated and the motif is embossed. Now, let's take it one step at a time. So I took this water colour paper with the special surface. One advantage is that it does not absorb the colours so well, on the other hand it is also a disadvantage if you want to achieve really beautiful water colour effects. On this paper I embossed the stamped leaves. The embossed edge is a protective wall for the colour. No paint can run out and no paint can run in. This way you can work with the brush around the small islands.

Ich fand die Farben der derzeitigen Color Throwdown Challenge so schön, dass ich unbedingt eine Karte damit machen wollte. Außerdem habe ich mir gedacht, dass die Blätter so hervorragend zu dem Inspirationsbild der Inspired by all the little things Challenge passen. In dem Bild sind zwar Federn zu sehen, aber sie haben auch diese kleinen abgesetzten Flächen. Zwar springen einem die Farben in dem Foto auch gleich ins Auge, aber ich habe mich an die erste Sache gehalten, die mir in den Sinn kam.
I liked the colors of the current Color Throwdown Challenge so much that I wanted to make a card with them. I also thought that the leaves fit so well with the inspirational image of the Inspired by all the little things challenge. In the picture feathers can be seen, but they also have these small separate areas. Although the colors in the photo jump right into your eye, I stuck to the first thing that came to my mind.

Bam!!!

Kennt Ihr das auch? Ihr seht eine neue Technik bzw. etwas, das mit einer neuen Technik gemacht wurde und denkt:"Wow, das muss ich probieren!". So geschehen als ich die Hintergrundtechnik auf dem Kartenkunst Technique Blog gesehen habe. Und dann - BAM!!!! Ich bin verliebt .... in meine Karte, hihi. Das darf man doch auch mal sein, oder? Liegt es nun an der tollen Technik, oder an dem niedlichen neuen Motiv, welches ich kürzlich von A Capella erstanden habe?

Do you know it too? You see a new technique or something made with a new technique and think: "Wow, I have to try that!". This is what happened when I saw the background technique on the Kartenkunst Technique Blog. And then - BAM!!!!!! I'm in love... with my card, hihi. Am I allowed to say that? Is it because of the great technique, or because of the cute new motive, which I recently bought from A Capella?

Angefangen habe ich also damit, dass ich mit Glossy AccentsFaden-artig einige Linien auf Aquarellpapier gemalt habe und das ganze gut trocknen lassen habe. Alsdann habe ich diesen Hintergrund wieder einmal mit meinem ganz einfachen Wasserfarbkasten koloriert. Das Motiv ist mit Memento gestempelt, mit Copics koloriert und ausgeschnitten. Das "hello" habe ich aus Aquarellpapier gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Wasserfarben angemalt. Für die Tiefe habe ich Abstanspads beim Zusammenbau verwendet.

So I started with painting some lines like a twine on water colour paper with Glossy Accents and let it dry well. Then I coloured this background with my very simple watercolor box (once again :) ). The motif is stamped with Memento, coloured with Copics and cut out. I punched the "hello" out of water colour paper and also painted it with water colours. For the depth I used spacer pads when assembling the card.

Türkise Weihnachts-Sterne

Na Ihr kennt es ja schon, ca. einmal im Monat eine Weihnachtskarte ist doch ok, oder? Und türkis ist ja beim Karten machen eine meiner Lieblingsfarbe geworden. Heute gibt es zwei Karten in Kombination mit gold.
Well, you know it already, about once a month a Christmas card is ok, right? And turquoise became one of my favourite colours when making cards. Today I have two cards in combination with gold for you.

Zur Gestaltung der Karten habe ich mal wieder die tolle Technik der Wasserfarben auf Fotopapier genutzt. Oft verwende ich dafür einen rechteckigen Stempel und kreiere einen Hintergrund, den ich dann weiter verarbeite. Dieses mal habe ich Sterne für die Technik benutzt. Man malt mit verschiedenen Markern auf dem flächigen Stempel, startend mit der hellsten Farbe, damit man die Farben der Marker nicht beeinträchtigt und sprüht dann den Stempel mit ein wenig Wasser an bevor man ihn auf das glänzende Fotopapier drückt. Schon fertig. Noch ein paar Spritzer mit gold hier und da, einen Spruch, ein Band und das ganze kann zusammen gesetzt werden. Schick, oder? 

For the design of the cards I used again the great technique of the water colors on photo paper. I often use a rectangular stamp and create a background, which I then process further. This time I used stars for the technique. You paint with different markers on the broad motif stamp, starting with the lightest color, so that the colors of the markers are not affected and then spray the stamp with a little water before pressing it on the glossy photo paper. That's it! A few more splashes of gold here and there, a saying, a ribbon and the whole thing can be put together. Isn't that nice?
