So, Ihr Lieben, es ist so weit. Der Monat Juni startet und ich hatte Euch ja bereits verraten, dass es nicht nur am 1. neue Stempelsets von Stamp Corner geben wird, sondern auch noch weitere zum 5. Shopgeburtstag am 10. Juni. Heute gibt es aber erst einmal eine Karte mit dem mega tollen neuen Set, welches GroWi Design für Stamp Corner gezeichnet hat. Ich bin schockverliebt. Außerdem bin ich der neuen Distress Farbe salvaged patina und dieser großartigen Stanze von Lawn Fawn verfallen. 

So, dear ones, here we go: The month of June starts and I had already told you that there will be new stamp sets from Stamp Corner not only on the 1st, but also some further ones on the occasion of the 5th store birthday on June 10. But today I first of all have a card with the mega great new set, which GroWi Design drew for Stamp Corner. I am so in love with it. I also fell for the new Distress color salvaged patina and this great die-cut from Lawn Fawn.

 

 

Den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich mit einer Schablone von Stamp Corner gemacht. Dazu habe ich sie auf das weiße Papier gelegt und mit Distress Oxides Spray besprüht. Die mit braun angefärbte Schablone habe ich oben rechts noch einmal abgedrückt. Das habe ich mit Hilfe eines Papiers gemacht, welches ich über die Schablone gelegt und leicht drüber getrichen habe. 

 

I made the background of my card with a stencil from Stamp Corner. I put it on the white paper and sprayed it with Distress Oxides spray. I printed the stencil, which was colored with brown again on the top right. I did this with the help of a piece of paper that I placed over the stencil and lightly stroke over it. 

Den süßen kleinen Kapitän habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und mit Copics sowie Polychromos koloriert. Danach habe ich ihn von Hand mit einer Schere ausgeschnitten. Ebenso bin ich mit den Walen und dem Anker verfahren. 

Das Stanzteil habe ich mit einem Distress Oxides Stempelkissen türkis angefärbt und die kleineren Buchstaben mit einem weißen Poscastift nachgezeichnet. 

 

I stamped the cute little captain with Ink on 3 and colored him with Copics and Polychromos. Then I fuzzy-cut him. I did the same with the whales and the anchor.
I colored the die-cut part turquoise with a Distress Oxides ink pad and traced the smaller letters with a white Poscas pen. 

Nachdem ich alles mit Abstandspads auf der Karte arrangiert hatte, habe ich noch verschiedene Farben Nuvo Drops zugefügt. 

 

After I had adhered everything with distance pads on the card I added diffeerent colours of Nuvo Drops to the caard.

Challenge - Favourite Colouring Medium

Many of you might know I am a COPIC fanatic. When my friend showed me something that was (really simply) coloured with Copics years and years ago I fell in love immediately. It looked like a print and different from the water coloured stuff and vintage style that was around a lot, had flashing bright colours. It still took some time until I got my first set of Copics (which I would actually not recommend to start with) and then still many more months until I really went into the matter. 

Now I am a totally fascinated person when it comes to alcohol markers. I do admit, I combine them with pencils (Polychromos) and white acrylic marker. I love the bright colours the shading, the techniques and colouring with them is soooooo nice :) ... while I admit, it is not always relaxing for me, since I really want to bring out the best.

Challenge 156 - Anchors Aweigh

I guess my style today is a mixed media collage - not vintage though, but fresh in style. I used alcohol markers, Distress Oxide Sprays, pencils and acrylic paint. You can see the theme caught my attention - I just love maritime motifs. Though I have to admit, that I would have usually also fallen for the red, blue and white style, but wanted to use the new salvaged patina colour in combination with brown.
