Refuse to be normal

Ich hatte Euch ja glaube ich berichtet, dass es auch so richtige "BÄM!" Stempel in der neuen Kollektion von Visible Image gibt. Und diesen hier meinte ich insbesondere. Ist der nicht cool? Er entstammt dem Set "Refuse to be normal" und ich glaube er ist in der Stempelwelt wirklich eine Besonderheit. Ganz toll finde ich, wie herrlich weiblich und fein das Gesicht dieser Punkfrau gestaltet ist. 

I think I had told you that there are also really "BÄM!" stamps in the new release of Visible Image. And this one I meant in particular. Isn't it cool? It comes from the "Refuse to be normal" set and I think it's really something special in the artsy stamp world. I love how feminine and delicate the face of this punk woman is.

 

Zunächst habe ich mein Motiv mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und zwar einmal auf mein eigentliches Papier und einmal auf nicht permanente Klebeetiketten, um mir eine Maske zu erstellen. Dann habe ich den Kopf mit der Schere ausgeschnitten ohne Haare. Diesen habe ich genau auf das Gesicht geklebt, um es zu schützen.  

First, I stamped my motif with Ink on 3, once on my actual paper and once on non-permanent adhesive labels to create a mask for my project. Then I fussy cut the head without hair. I glued it exactly on the face to protect it.

Als nächstes habe ich den Stempel mit Versamark nochmals abgestempelt und das grüne Embossingpulver am Haaransatz aufgetragen. Nach dem Erhitzen habe ich erneut den Stempelabdruck mit Versamark gemacht und dann einen Kreis als Schutz auf die grüne Farbe gelegt. Jetzt wurde die Mittelpartie der Haare mit lila angefärbt. 

 

Next, I stamped the stamp again with Versamark and applied the green embossing powder to the hairline. After heating, I stamped again with Versamark and then added a circle as protection on the green color. Now the middle part of the hair was colored with purple. 

 

 

Für die roten Haarspitzen habe ich das Ganze dann nochmals wiederholt, dabei aber einen größeren Kreis zur Abdeckung verwendet. Nach dem Abziehen der Maske konnte ich mich dann an die Koloration des Gescichts machen. Hierzu habe ich Copics verwendet. 

For the red hair tips, I then repeated the whole thing again, but used a larger circle for coverage. After removing the mask, I was able to start coloring the face. For this I used my Copic marker.

Die Stacheldrähte sind aus dem Set "Forever Love". Hach, ich fand sie so schön passend zum Motiv. 

 

The barbed wires are from the set "Forever Love". I found it a wonderful match with the motif.

Außerdem fand ich, dass bei dem Text und Motiv eine klassische korrekte Kartenform ungeeignet sei und habe daher die Ränder entsprechend eingerissen, abgerissen und angefärbt. Durch die Positionierung des Kopfes weiß man obendrein nicht so recht, wo denn jetzt oben und unten ist. Aber muss denn immer alles ein oben und unten haben?

 

In addition, I found that with the text and motif a classical correct card shape was unsuitable and have therefore torn in, torn off and colored the edges accordingly. By the positioning of the head you also do not really know where is now top and bottom. But does everything always have to have a top and bottom?
