Visible Wednesday - Tree of Life

In Zeiten von Corona müssen wir neue Wege zur Interaktion finden. Das Internet ist eines der großartigen Werkzeuge, die uns zur Verfügung stehen. Wir können darüber interagieren, teilen und kommunizieren. Wir können quasi nur Cyber-Umarmungen schicken, aber so oft helfen die doch auch schon sehr. Freunde werden via "Nachrichten und Bilder austauschen" und "miteinander telefonieren" in Kontakt sein. Aber natürlich möchte ich nicht behaupten, dass noch viele Dinge verbleiben, die wir mit realen Aktivitäten erledigen müssen.  Ich wünsche Euch allen alles alles Gute und sende ein ganz großes Dankeschön an all diejenigen, die in dieser besonderen Situation helfen.
 
In times of Corona we need to find new ways of interacting. The internet is one of the great tools we can use now to interact, share and communicate. We can only send a cyber hug, but so often they already help so much. Friends will interact via messages, sending images and talking on the phone to each other. But of course I do not want to say that still a lot of things will also be needed to be done via real activities. I wish you all the best and send a big thank you to everyone that helps in this very special situation.

Der Hintergrund meiner Karte ist ein Gelli Plate Druck. Ich habe zunächst goldene Acrylfarbe auf meine Gelli Plate gegeben und die Square Route Schablone drauf gelegt. Dann habe ich einen ersten Druck gemacht, welchen Ihr auf dem Foto sehen könnt. Diesen habe ich für ein anderes Projekt benutzt. Der wichtige Teil für dieses Projekt befindet sich rechts im Bild. Es ist der negativ Druck der Schablone. Nachdem er gut auf der Gelli Plate getrockent war, habe ich ihn mit roter Acrylfarbe versehen und abgedruckt. 
 

The background of my card is a gelli plate print. I first applied gold acrylic paint on it and put the square route stencil onto it. I then took a first paper print resulting in this first print, which I used for another project. The important piece for this project is on the right. The gelli plate with the inverse print of the stencil. I took the stencil off, let it dry well and then added a layer of red acrylic paint to pull the print off. 
 

So schaute dann der zweite Druck aus.

Auf den Druck habe ich dann den Baum und den Text mit Versamark gestempelt und mit schwarzem Detail-Embossing-Pulver embosst. Vorher habe ich meinen Untergrund mit einem Embossing-Buddy eingerieben, damit keine Flecken entstehen, wo ich keine haben wollte.

On the print I stamped the text and the tree with Versamark and embossed them with a detail black embossing powder. Before doing so I had rubbed my background well with an embossing buddy to make sure I have no powder left where it is not supposed to stick. 

Den großen Text habe ich mit einem goldenen Embossingpulver auf schwarzem Karton und die Blätter mit schwarzem auf goldenem Karton gestempelt. Die Blätter der Baumes habe ich mit goldenen Nuvo Drops versehen und schwarze Nuvo Drops Punkte auf den Hintergrund gemacht. Die einzelnen Blätter habe ich ausgeschnitten und mit Abstandspads auf die Karte geklebt.  

I embossed the big text in gold on a black cardstock and the leaves in black on a golden one. I added pale golden Nuvo Drops to the leaves on the tree and some black dots on the background. The single bigger leaves were fussy cut and glued to the card with distance pads.
