Geburtstag feiert. Da durfte es herrlich pink sein. Passend dazu habe ich goldene Details gewählt.
Dear readers, you haven't heard from me for a few days now, but here I am again with a very flowery card for you. The peonies in the garden are about to open up, just in time for Pentecost. This card was not for Mother's Day, but for my son's grandmother, who is celebrating her 80th birthday. It was allowed to be wonderfully pink. I have chosen golden details to go with it.
I had in mind that I had a very old Stampin Up stamp set (1997) with these wonderful flowers and there I had to search a bit in my shelves, because I have plenty of flower stamps, hihi. I also used another very old stamp set from the same year (1997), which I like very much. It is called Itty Bitty Backgrounds and contains four stamps with great patterns. Those I use more often and have them always handy. I used them to create the background. To make sure that the small stamps don't catch your eye, I added a few dots here and there with an appropriate marker. The flower set is a two-step stamping set, so you first stamp the motif in a lighter colour and then the details in a darker colour into it. The text is embossed in gold. By the use of distance pads I have brought a little depth into the motif.
To match the card I designed an envelope and a voucher, which you can see on the second picture.

AntwortenLöschenNicole those flowers are stunning! I love how you kept your background palette green and added the rich decorative lace, it really adds to the rich vintage feel! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
AntwortenLöschenGorgeous flower...so pretty in the deep rich colors you chose! And I LOVE Itty Bitty Backgrounds, but I confess that I rarely use the one you used, I mostly use the "spatter" one! The lace is a lovely touch too! Thanks for playing with us this week at Retro Rubber!
