Gleich als ich sie das erste Mal sah, diese kuhle Kuh, wußte ich, dass sie perfekt für 3D Technik geeignet ist. Dafür habe ich die Kuh zweimal gestempelt und die süße Schnute einmal extra ausgeschnitten und koloriert. Danach wurde dieses Teil dann mit Abstandspads wieder auf die Kuh geklebt. 

Immediately when I saw this cow for the first time, I knew that it is perfectly suited for 3D technique. For this I stamped the cow twice and cut out the cute snout once extra and colored it. After that, this part was then glued back onto the cow with spacer pads. The text says: Are you serious!?

 

 

Die Kuh selber habe ich mit Copics und Polychromos koloriert. Den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich mit einem Stencil von Stamp Corner gemacht und Distress Oxides Sprays. Ich hatte ihn vor einiger Zeit mit anderen zusammen gemacht. Ihr kennt das vielleicht, wenn man einmal dabei ist, dann macht man gleich ein paar mehr, weil man etwas ausprobiert oder weil eh schon alles voll ist mit Farbe, so dass sich das Aufräumen dann auch lohnt. Auch meine vielen Stanzteile, die ich auf der Karte verwendet habe entstammen meinem Fundus. Ich habe sie zum Teil mit Acrylstiften noch bemalt. 

Den Text habe ich mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. 

The cow itself I colored with Copics and Polychromos. The background of my card I made with a stencil from Stamp Corner and Distress Oxides Sprays. I had made it together with others some time ago. You may know that once you're at it, you make a few more right away because you experiment a bit or because everything is already full of color anyway, so it's worth cleaning up then. My many die cuts that I used on the card also came from my stash. I have painted them partly with acrylic pencils.

The text I have stamped with Versamark and embossed it in white.

Bei uns sinken die Temperaturen und es regnet immer wieder. Ob etwa schon der Herbst Einzug hält? Aber die Igel müssen sich doch noch ein Polster zulegen und Schnecken und Würmer futtern. Außerdem brauchen sie ja große Blätterhaufen, unter denen sie sich einkuscheln. Also, liebe Sonne, bleib noch ein bisschen und wärme uns. Solange schicke ich igelige Grüße aus der Hecke mit diesem süßen Vertreter.

The temperatures are dropping and it's raining again and again. I wonder if autumn is already here. But the hedgehogs still need to build up a cushion and feed on snails and worms. Besides, they need big piles of leaves to nestle under. So, dear sun, stay a little longer with us and keep us warm. Until then, I send hedgehugs with this sweet representative.

 

Den niedlichen Igel aus dem Set "Hedgehog hugs" von Visible Image habe ich vor einen Baumhintergund in Szene gesetzt, den ich mit dem Stencil "The Forest" gemacht habe. Dazu habe ich erst einmal den Igel gestempelt und einmal auf nicht-permanenten Aufklebern abgedrückt, um ihn als Schablone zu verwenden. 

 

I have put the cute hedgehog from the set "Hedgehog hugs" of Visible Image in front of a tree background in scene, which I made with the stencil "The Forest". To do this, I first stamped the hedgehog and a second time on non-permanent stickers to use it as a mask.

 

 

Den guten Druck habe ich mit Copics koloriert. Die Schablone des Igels habe ich von Hand ausgeschnitten und auf den kolorierten Igel geklebt. Dann habe ich die Schablone darüber mit Washi-Tape befestigt und den blauen Hintergrund mit Distress Oxides gewischt. Anschließend habe ich noch Wassertropfen darauf gespritzt. 

 

I coloured the good print with Copics. I fussy cut the mask of the hedgehog by hand and glued it on the colored hedgehog. Then I attached the stencil over it with washi tape and wiped the blue background with Distress Oxides. Afterwards I sprayed water drops on it.

 

 

Nachdem ich die Schablonen des Walds und des Igels entfernt hatte und der Hintergrund gut getrocknet war, habe ich die Ränder der Bäume mit schwarz nachgezogen. 

Die Blätter habe ich mehrmals gestempelt, mit Copics koloriert und von Hand ausgeschnitten. Auf den Hintergrund der Karte habe ich ein Designpapier geklebt und Punkte an die Kanten gemalt mit einem Sakurastift.

 

After I removed the stencil of the forest and the hedgehog mask and the background was well dried, I traced the edges of the trees with black.
I stamped the leaves several times, colored them with Copics and fussy-cut them. I put a design paper on the card background and painted dots on the edges with a sakura pen

.

If you know me a little you already are well aware that I love love forest animals so much. I did already talk about my love to deers a lot. I also find squirrels so cute. But at the moment I must admit, I really want to give some space here for the hedgehog. Why is that? First of all it is such an adorable animal. Don´t they make the cutest sounds also? Even though I live really out in the forest/fields, I have not seen one in years now!!! I guess there are so many places to hide here and my garden is huge with many nice snails to eat. I always make big stacks of branches and leaves for them and  hope they have it nice and cozy during the winter time.

Ich liebe ja Fledermäuse, Ihr auch? Also in echt meine ich jetzt. Wenn ich in der Abenddämmerung in unseren Garten gehe, sehe ich sie oft, wie sie kreisen. Das ist doch toll, oder? 

Und dieses mega niedliche Exemplar ist in einem der neuen Stempelsets, die es ab dem ersten September bei Stamp Corner geben wird. Darin findet Ihr auch noch weitere berühmte Halloween-Gestalten. Na, was könnte das sein? 

I love bats, don't you? I am talking real ones, of course. When I go into our garden at dusk, I often see them circling. That's great, isn't it?
And this mega cute one here is in one of the new stamp sets that will be available at Stamp Corner from the first of September. In it you will also find some more famous Halloween characters. Well, what could that be?

 

Die Fledermaus habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und daaaannnnn mit meinen neuen Polychromos koloriert, yipiehhhh. Ihr denkt jetzt vielleicht "neu? Die stempelfrida schreibt doch ständig, dass sie mit Polychromos koloriert!". Und ja, das ist richtig, aber ich habe mir jetzt die gesamte Farbpalette in einem wunderschönen Holzkoffer gegönnt, hachz! 

 

The bat I stamped with Ink on 3 and theeeeeennnnnn colored with my new Polychromos, yipiehhhh. You may now think "new? but stempelfrida constantly writes that she colors with Polychromos!". And yes, that's right, but I have now treated myself to the entire color palette in a beautiful wooden case, hachz! 

Die Fledermäuse im Hintergrund sind auch in dem neuen Set und ebenso mit Ink on 3 gestempelt. Der Hintergrund ist übrigens ein Überbleibsel aus einer Spritz-Matsch-Aktion. Irgendwo kann man alles wieder gebrauchen. Jetzt war seine Zeit gekommen. Am oberen Rand habe ich noch die Kleckser geskribbelt. Am unteren Rand habe ich einen Teil der Mauer gestempelt, die es als Hintergrundstempel ebenso ab September bei Stamp Corner geben wird. Nuvo Drops habe ich zur Zierde zum Schluß zugefügt. Hier noch ein Tip: Nuvo Drops bewahrt Ihr am besten auf dem Kopf auf. So fließen sie eigentlich immer gut aus der Flasche. Bewahrt man sie normal auf, verklebt die Öffnung. Das kann im schlimmsten Fall zu einem plötzlichen Öffnen des Ventils führen und hat schon das ein oder andere Werk und Tisch ruiniert. Ich probiere immer, ob es gut fließt auf einem Schmierpapier.

 

The bats in the background are also in the new set and also stamped with Ink on 3. The background, by the way, is a remnant from a splash mud action. There is a space for everything at some point. Now the time had come for this one. At the top edge I scribbled the blobs. At the bottom edge I stamped a part of the wall, which will be available as a background stamp at Stamp Corner from September. I added Nuvo Drops at the end for decoration. Here's a tip: Nuvo Drops are best kept upside down. This way they always flow well out of the bottle. If you store them normally, the opening will stick. In the worst case, this can lead to a sudden opening of the valve and has already ruined one or the other work and table. I always try if it flows well on a piece of scrap paper.

Vielleicht könnt Ihr es auf den ersten Blick nicht erkennen, aber heute habe ich keine Karte für Euch, sondern ein ATC! Das mag für den ein oder die andere von Euch nicht so ungewöhnlich sein, aber ich habe mein letztes ATC vermutlich vor knapp 15 Jahren gemacht. ABER: In dem neuen Release von Visible Image gibt es zwei wundervolle Sets extra für ATCs. Und da hat es mich doch gekitzelt, auch mal wieder ATCs zu gestalten. Dies hier ist also mein erstes für Euch.

 

Maybe you can't tell at first glance, but today I don't have a card for you, but an ATC! This may not be so unusual for one or the other of you, but I have made my last ATC probably almost 15 years ago. AND: In the new release of Visible Image there are two wonderful sets especially for ATCs. And so it tickled me to create ATCs again. Here is my first one for you.

 

Begonnen habe ich mit Wasser-vermalbaren Kreiden. Mit ihnen habe ich den Hintergrund des ATCs gestaltet. Darauf habe ich den Baum gestempelt, die Vögel, die Gräser am unteren Rand und ein paar Flecken in orange. Die weißen Punkte habe ich mit einem feinen Acrylstift gemacht. 

Die Ränder des ATCs  habe ich mit einem schwarzen Stift nachgezogen. Ebenso habe ich unter die Texte bunte Kanten gemalt und sie dann mit Abstandspads aufgeklebt.
 

I started with water-soluble chalks. With them I created the background of the ATC. On it I stamped the tree, the birds, the grasses at the bottom and a few splatter in orange.  I made the white dots with a fine acrylic pen.
I traced the edges of the ATC with a black pen. Likewise, I painted colorful edges under the texts and then glued them on with spacer pads. 

 

 

Der Text entstammt ebenfalls einem der neuen Sets von Visible Image. Ein paar der Affirmations in diesem Set passen auch hervorragend auf ATCs. 

The text is also from one of the new ssets from Visible Image. Some of the affirmations from thsi set also fit perfectly for ATCs

Heute startet bei Visible Image der Vorverkauf des neuen Releases für den Herbst. Es gibt neun wundervolle neue Stempelsets, von denen ich drei heute für meine Karte verwendet habe. 

Today starts the pre-order of the new release from Visible Image with the autumn theme. There are nine wonderful new stamp sets of which I used three for todays card.

 

Der Pilz entstammt einem Set, welches neben verschiedenen Pilzen auch noch Gräser und Steine enthält. Ich bin mir sicher, damit macht Ihr ganz wundervolle Herbstkarten. Ich muss zugeben, ich war in einer Stimmung unterwegs, die mich in die etwas mystische Richtung abgleiten ließ und so habe ich in der Tat mit meiner Seele hier koloriert und kreiert. 

 

The mushroom comes from a set which contains various toadstools, grasses and stones. I'm sure you will make quite wonderful autumn cards with them. I must admit, I was in a mood that let me slide in the somewhat mystical direction and so I have indeed colored and created with my soul here. 

 

 

Den Pilz habe ich mit Copics und Polychromos koloriert und Akzente noch zusätzlich mit einem Sakurastift gesetzt. 

 

I coloured the toadstool with Copics and Polychromos and set accents with a white Sakura pen.

In den Bildern seht Ihr noch einen weiteren Pilz aus dem Set, den ich auf einer anderen Karte verarbeitet habe. Die Bilder sind Zwischenschritte der Koloration. Erst unten ist die finale Version zu sehen. Mit den Polychromos arbeite ich, um Tiefe zu verstärken und Details heraus zu arbeiten. Außerdem schwäche ich oft die sehr knalligen Farben ein wenig mit beige oder braun-Tönen, manchmal auch schwarz ab. Das macht sie ein wenig differenzierter in den Farbtönen.

In the pictures you can see another mushroom from the set, which I processed on a different card. The pictures are intermediate steps of the coloring. Only below you can see the final version. I work with the polychromos to enhance depth and to work out details. In addition, I often weaken the very bright colors a little with beige or brown tones, sometimes even black. This gives them a more differentiated look in the colours.

 

Im Hintergrund habe ich den neuen Schnörkel Grunge Flourish verwendet und ihn dafür auf einer Stempelhilfe positioniert und mehrere Male mit türkis und pink gestempelt. 

 

I used the new flourish stamp for the background. I set it to a stamping aid and stamped it several times with turquoise and pink.

 

 

Dann musste ich sicherstellen, dass auch alles gut getrocknet war, denn ich wollte mit sehr feinem schwarzen Embossingpulver den Schriftzug erstellen. Dazu habe ich vorsichtshalber noch mit einem Pudersäckchen die Karte abgewischt, dann den Text mit Versamark gestempelt und in schwarz embosst. 

 

Then I had to make sure that everything was also well dried, because I wanted to create the lettering with very fine black embossing powder. To do this, I still wiped the card with a powder sachet as a precaution, then stamped the text with Versamark and embossed it in black. 

 

In den Rand habe ich mit einer Stanze die Nähte gestanzt. 

I die cut the stitches at the edges with a die.

Favourite Primary Colour

My favourite colour from the primaries is funnily blue, though I love warm colours overall. Why blue then, you may ask. This is because I love turquoise so very much. It is so eye catching and I use it so often. So this is most of it blue as the basis. And then I combine it with pink (not red), so there is the bleu in there again. And the other combination that I love so much is with green - and there again, the blue tone comes into play. I guess I am somewhat in my innerst being driven by blue. ... even though this summer I used orange and pink a lot also! Blue gives everything the special somewhat that makes it interesting - like turquoise and pink!!!

Knuffel, knuffel, schnuffel - hach seufz, was soll man da noch sagen zu diesem mega niedlichen Motiv? Wer braucht mal einen dicken Knuddler von Euch?

Cuddle, cuddle, snuggle - well sigh, what else can you say about this mega cute motif? Who of you needs a big hug?

 

Den süßen Hasen mit seinem Knuffelbären habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und mit Polychromos koloriert. Ich fand, das Bärchen sollte pink sein. Und so kam dann auch der Gedanke, pink als eine der prominenten Farben für diese Karte zu verwenden. Um das knallige pink etwas zu neutralisieren habe ich grau und weiß dazu ausgewählt. Da kam mir das Designpapier von Stamp Corner mal wieder so wirklich recht. 

Den Schriftzug habe ich einmal mit pinkem Papier und einmal aus weißem ausgestanzt und versetzt übereinander geklebt. 

I stamped the cute bunny with his cuddly bear with Ink on 3 and colored it with Polychromos. I thought the little bear should be pink. And so the idea came to use pink as one of the prominent colors for this card. To neutralize the bright pink a bit I chose gray and white to go with it. So the design paper from Stamp Corner really was so handy.
I have die cut the words once from pink paper and once from white and glued them offset on top of each other.
