Morgen, Kinder...

Im Dezember (also ab morgen!!!) dürft Ihr ja endlich die Adventskalender von Scrapbook Forever öffnen, daher gibt es weniger Neuheiten, aber ein paar sind auch dieses Mal am Start. Diese Weihnachtskugelstanze ist zum Beispiel eine davon. 
In December (so starting tomorrow!!!) you can finally open the advent calendars of Scrapbook Forever, so there are fewer new items, but there are still a few this month as well. This Christmas ball die, for example, is one of them. 



Für den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich den weihnachtlichen Texthintergrundstempel genommen. Die Weihnachtskugel habe ich aus Designpapier ausgestanzt und mit einem passenden Kreis aus Karton hinterlegt. Da ich keine passende Stanze hatte, habe ich diesen einfach mit der Hand ausgeschnitten. 
For the background of my card I used the Christmas text background stamp. I punched out the Christmas ball from design paper and placed it with a matching circle made of cardboard. Since I didn't have a suitable die, I simply cut it out by hand.

Visible Wednesday - Black Friday Week

Halli hallo! Es ist wieder einmal Visible Wednesday und da habe ich eine weitere Kreation mit den grandiosen Stempeln aus dem Herbstrelease von Visible Image für Euch. Dieses mal habe ich Bildstempel aus dem Set "Don´t judge" und einen Textstempel aus dem Set "Brave and Strong" verwendet. Ach, und der kleine Spruch unten ist ebenfalls in dem ersten Set enthalten. Der Text lautet übersetzt: Narben sind nur eine Erinnerung an die Schlachten, die wir gewonnen haben. Und unter unter dem Bild steht: Heilung braucht Zeit.

Hi, guys, it´s Visible Wednesday today! I have another creation for you with the beautiful stamps of the Autumn release from Visible Image. Today I used image stamps from the sets "Don´t judge" and a sentiment from the set "Brave and Strong". Ah, well, the little sentiment on the bottom is also from the first set.

Meinen Hintergrund habe ich mit Alkohol Inks gestaltet. Dieses Mal habe ich kein Yupo papier genommen, sondern Encaustic Papier. Die Verläufe darauf sind ganz anders und man bekommt dadurch auch andere Effekte. Das Gute an Encaustic Papier ist, dass man es auch gut erhitzen kann, wenn man das für manche Techniken möchte. Die Knäuel sind mit Ink on 3 auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.
Die Person habe ich ebenfalls mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und mit Copics an den Rändern koloriert. Die Narbe habe ich mit Distress Oxides gestempelt und mit Polychromos noch ein wenig koloriert.
Ich habe den Hintergrund mit Abstandspads auf dem schwarzen Karton montiert. Darunter habe ich den kleinen Text mit Versamark gestempelt und in weiß embosst. Die Linien sind mit einem Signomarker gezeichnet. 
Den gestempelten Text habe ich mit der Hand in Form einer Scherbe geschnitten und ihn auf schwarzem Karton gemattet. Dieser und die Figur sind ebenfalls mit Abstandspads montiert.

I designed my background with alcohol inks. This time I didn't use Yupo paper but Encaustic paper. The flow of the ink on it is completely different and so you get different effects. The good thing about Encaustic paper is that you can also heat it if you want to for some techniques. The scribbles are stamped with Ink on 3 on the background.
I also stamped the person with Ink on 3 and coloured the edges with copics. I stamped the scar with Distress Oxides and coloured it with polychromos.
I mounted the background with spacer pads on the black cardboard. Below I stamped the small text with Versamark and embossed it in white. The lines are drawn with a signo marker. 
I cut the stamped text by hand in the shape of a shard and matted it on black cardboard. This and the figure are also mounted with spacer pads.

Glitzersterne

Heute habe ich erst einmal eine nicht klassische Weihnachtskarte für Euch. ... obwohl, Sterne und Glitzer sind ja auch drauf zu finden und auch ein klassischer Weihnachtswunsch.
Today I have a non-traditional Christmas card for you. ... well, yes, there are stars and glitter also and the sentiment is also a typical one here in Germany for Christmas; it reads "Happy Christmas".



Meine Sterne habe ich auf einen Hintergrund aus Distress Oxides gesetzt. Sie sind eigentlich von einem Stempelabdruck, aber ich habe sie ausgeschnitten und mit Glitzer versehen. An den Rändern habe ich Geso aufgetragen.
My stars are bedded onto a background made with Distress Oxides. They are actually from one stamp impression, but I fussy cut them and added glitter to them. I also added gesso to their edges.

Happy Holidays

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich Euch ja bereits eine Karte mit diesem schnuckeligen Elch gezeigt. Außerdem hatte ich Euch berichtet, dass das Stempelset noch mehr Szenen bereit hält. Da musste doch auch noch eine weitere Karte her. Dieses mal habe ich mich an winterliche Farben gehalten. 
I did show you one card with this cute moose some days ago here on my blog. I mentioned back then that the stamp set contains more scenes so I definitely wanted to also show you this one here. This time I wanted to use winterly colours.


Auch dieses Mal habe ich mein Motiv mit ink on 3 gestempelt und dann anschließend mit Polychromos koloriert. Den Rand habe ich sicherheitshalber auch vorher ausgestanzt. Man weiß nie, ob nicht etwas schief läuft und dann muss man sich nicht so sehr ärgern als wenn man schon ein koloriertes Motiv in den Sand setzt. Ich habe das Motiv dann mit einem minzfarbenen Karton gemattet. 
Der Schneeflockenhintergrund ist ein Designpapier. Der Text ist ebenfalls in dem Stempelset von Stamp Corner enthalten. Ich habe es auf einem Streifen gestempelt, von dem ich dann anschließend die Ecken abgerundet habe. 
Again I stamped my motiv with Ink on 3 and coloured it with Polychromos. I cut the frame before that to be on the safe side. It is too bad if you ruin your coloured motiv in the die-cut machine. I matted it with a mint coloured cardstock.
The background with the snow flakes is a design paper. The sentiment which reads "Happy Holidays" is also in the stamp set from Stamp Corner. I stamped it on a rectangle and rounded the corners off.

Mein Monat 2019-10

Ui, im Monat Oktober sind aber so einige Karten zusammen gekommen. Wenn Euch dadurch die Bilder etwas zu klein sind, um alles gut sehen zu können, lade ich Euch ein bei den jeweiligen Beiträgen im Monat Oktober alles genau anzuschauen. Bereits im Oktober habe ich mit den Weihnachtskarten begonnen. Meine Favoriten des Monats findet ihr immer ein bisschen größer mittig in der Kollage.

Modern poinsettia

Für mich hat ein Weihnachtsstern ja immer ein bisschen was Nostalgisches. Daher bin ich selbst überrascht, dass ich eine moderne Karte damit machen konnte. Ich liebe ja rot-grün zu Weihnachten, ob mit weiß oder Natur-Papier,und Ihr?
For me, a poinsettia is always a bit nostalgic. So I'm surprised myself that I could make a modern card with it. I love red-green for Christmas, whether with white or craft paper, how about you?


Den Weihnachtsstern habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und mit Copics und Polychromos koloriert. Ausgeschnitten habe ich ihn per Hand mit einer Schere. Die Zahlen sind ausgestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics koloriert. Ich habe sie nochmals mit grünem Papier für den Schatten ausgestanzt. Im Hintergrund habe ich Stempel aus dem Kleckse Grunge Stempelset von Scrapbook Forever verwendet. 

I stamped the poinsettia with Ink on 3 and coloured it with Copics and Polychromos. I cut it out by hand with scissors. The numbers are die cut and also coloured with Copics. I die-cut them once again from green paper for the shadow. In the background I used stamps from the Kleckse Grunge stamp set from Scrapbook Forever.

Weihnachtliches für die Stamp Corner Challenge

Ich bin ja eher so der niedlich-Fan bei Weihnachtsstempeln, wie sieht es da bei Euch aus? Da kam mir der kleine Freund hier genau richtig! Er ist in einem Set mit weiteren lustigen Weihnachtssituationen. Dazu gibt es außerdem ein paar lustige oder flotte Sprüche.
I'm more of a cute fan of Christmas stamps, how is it with you? The little friend here was just right for me! The set contains more funny Christmas situations with him. In addition there are some funny or smart sayings.


Meinen Weihnachtselch habe ich mit Ink on 3 gestempelt und dann mit Polychromos koloriert. Der Spruch, der sich ebenfalls im Set befindet ist mit Distress Oxides in einem meiner Lieblingsfarben "candied apple" gestempelt. Dazu habe ich eine Stempelhilfe zur Hand genommen, denn grade bei flächigen Stempeln benötig man oft mehrere Abdrücke übereinander, um ein schönes Bild zu bekommen. Die Punkte im Hintergrund sind Perlen aus der Tube. Habt ihr die sternförmige Öse am Schildchen bemerkt? Ich habe ja eine riesige Sammlung von Ösen, hier konnte ich sie mal wieder einsetzen. 
I stamped my Christmas moose with Ink on 3 and then coloured it with polychromos. The saying, which is also in the set (it says: It is Christmas soon), is stamped with Distress Oxides in one of my favourite colours "candied apple". For this purpose I took a stamping platform, because especially with bold stamps you often need several impressions on top of each other to get a nice picture. The dots in the background are pearls from the tube. Have you noticed the star-shaped eyelet on the tag? I have a huge collection of eyelets, here I could use them again.

Visible Wednesday - Close your eyes to the past

Guten Morgen und herzlich Willkommen zu stempelfrida´s Visible Wednesday. Heute habe ich eine Karte mit der schönen Eule aus dem Herbstrelease von Visible Image für Euch. Die Karte ist durch den Hintergrund schon ganz schön winterlich, aber die Temperaturen hier in Deutschland sind auch bereits um die 0°C. 
Good morning and welcome to stempelfrida's Visible Wednesday. Today I have a card with the beautiful owl from the autumn release of Visible Image for you. The card is quite wintry by the background, but the temperatures here in Germany are already around 0°C.
 
Erst heute Morgen habe ich einen sehr emotionalen Beitrag einer Bastelfreundin gesehen, die darüber berichtete, dass sie sich durch die vielen Dinge, denen sie sich verpflichtet fühlt, einfach überwältigt fühlte, jetzt aber beschlossen hat, nicht alles aufholen zu wollen, sondern einen neuen Start zu machen. Ich denke, das geht allen Bastlern und Bastlerinnen irgendwann so, dass sie überrollt werden von den Dingen, die man meint, dass sie von anderen erwartet werden. Dabei soll unser Hobby doch Entspannung und Genuß sein. Ich wünsche Euch allen, dass Ihr immer Freude am Werkeln habt. 

Und solltet Ihr einmal in ein kreatives Loch fallen oder Ihr Euch von der Last der Erwartungen erschlagen fühlen, so wünsche ich Euch die Kraft für einen Neuanfang!


Just this morning I saw a very emotional message by a craft friend who said that she was overwhelmed by the many things she felt committed to, but now decided not to catch up, but move forward from now on. I think, this hits all crafters at some point that they are overwhelmed by the things that you think are expected by others. Our hobby should be relaxation and enjoyment. I wish you all that you always have fun crafting. 

And if you should fall into a creative hole or you feel overwhelmed by the expectations, I wish you the strength for a new beginning!



Den Hintergrund für meine Eule habe ich mit Acrylfarben gemalt. Für die Linien an den Rändern habe ich Einen Poscastift und einen Sakuramarker benutzt. Den Text habe ich zunächst mit einem gräulichen Distress Oxides Farbton gestempelt und mit durchsichtigem Pulver embosst. Danach habe ich den Text nochmals versetzt mit Versamark gestempelt und mit einem dunklen Braunton embosst. Um ihn noch deutlicher zu sehen, habe ich einige Stellen mit einem weißen Marker verstärkt. Die Eule habe ich in einem Braunton gestempelt und dann mit Copics und Polychromos koloriert. Anschließend habe ich sie von Hand ausgeschnitten und mit Abstandspads auf meiner Karte befestigt. 


I painted the background for my owl with acrylic paints. For the lines at the edges I used a posca pencil and a sacura marker. First I stamped the text with a greyish Distress Oxides colour and embossed it with transparent powder. Then I stamped the text again with Versamark leaving some space to the first impression and embossed it with a dark brown powder. To see it even more clearly, I reinforced some parts with a white marker. I stamped the owl in a brown tone and then coloured it with copics and polychromos. Then I fussy-cut it and attached it to my card with spacer pads.
