Watermelon

Hmmmmm, a tasty juicy watermelon is wonderful in this weather, isn't it? So at least here in Germany we currently have wonderful weather with pleasant temperatures. Only yesterday I bought myself a piece of watermelon and maybe that encouraged me to make this card.

I started with the sketch of CAS Colours and Sketches. Isn't it gorgeous? And there was Anne581's new stamp set next to me and shouted: "Look what great new stamps there are this month!" And indeed, the writing "Watermelon" captivated me. It should be simple, but a little bit of structure has such a watermelon and what could be more suitable than working with brushos. Well, I think the melon has been splendidly hit. I stamped the lettering first and then coloured it with Copics and signo markers. I wanted the letters to look like the seeds of the melon. My piece of watermelon seemed a bit too edgy so I trimmed the corners with dies and scissors.
