Mixed Media Tag with Poinsettia - Designteam call at ATSM

The main focus of today's card was mixed media and texture. A tag was supposed to be included and the theme Christmas. Well, I guess that is manageable, don´t you think?

Today starts the Anything goes Challenge over at the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge Blog and this is my inspiration card for you. Are you going to join us? Surely you are making Christmas cards currently, aren´t you?

Did you notice? We have a new design for the logo and the blog. And there is another very important thing: Some team members will leave our team after this season so we need to have new support for our Design team. Maybe it is you? You find all the details about it in the challenge post over at ATSM.

I first applied ink with a marker on the poinsettia stamp, misted it with water and worked out some details with markers after stamping it on paper. I then fuzzy cut the flower and applied translucent embossing paste with a hard brush to obtain the structure on it. After drying I added details with Copics and gold dots with acrylic paint. At the end I rounded the leaves upwards.
The gold acrylic paint was also the medium for the background tag. I worked out the structure with a hard brush again and then heated it up to enforce bubbles. I sponged stamp ink on the cut out branch and applied a bit of gold acrylic paint and softened it with my finger. At the end I marked the lines on it with a pair of forceps.
