Sail away

Na, seid Ihr auch in Urlaubsstimmung? Ich denke, diese Karte macht schon ein wenig Sehnsucht nach dem Meer, oder?
Are you already in vacation mood? I guess, this card could trigger some desire to be at the ocean. At least it does for me!


Um das Wasser zu gestalten habe ich einfach ein bisschen Farbe von Wasser-basierten Markern auf einem Acrylblock aufgetragen und ein wenig mit Wasser besprüht. Dann habe ich damit einen Abdruck auf glänzendem Fotopapier gemacht. Ganz einfach.

Die Bootstanze hatte ich mir ja erst kürzlich gekauft. Erinnert Ihr Euch? Hier (klick) hatte ich von unserer spontanen Shoppingtour berichtet. Um die Segel des Boots ein wenig plastisch zu gestalten habe ich die Ränder mit blauer Stempelfarbe mit einem Schwämmchen ein wenig eingefärbt. Den Hintergrund habe ich mit einem Skalpell wellig eingeschnitten, so dass das Boot in das Wasser eintauchen kann.

For the water I applied some water-based ink marker on an acrylic block and misted it with water. I then stamped this on a piece of glossy photo paper. 

I only recently bought the die for the boat. Do you remember? I had written about our spontaneous shopping tour here (click). To make the boat look a bit more real I added some stamp ink with a sponge to the edges of the sails. I cut a wavy line into the background with a knife so that the boat can float nicely.
