Discover the options - Entdecke die Möglichkeiten

Did you already realize, that you are much more creative, if you have limited resources? On the Simon Monday Blog the current challenge theme is "one stamp, many ways" and this is really true. When you hold a stamp in your hands, you normally look at it from only one perspective, but if you are forced to use it in different ways on one piece of art, you start thinking from different angles and realize how much more you can get out of this stamp. I really love this challenge.

The first option for the stamp I used is to stamp it and colour it. I used this for the main image in the front of the card. In the background I stamped the image with VersaMark and embosst it with transparent embossing powder. This gives a very nice tone in tone landscape, which is not too dominant and gives a perfect background paper. I accentuated the flowers with white chalk marker from SU. If you now concentrate on a piece of your stamp, you find a third way for using it. I took the piece of the stems and leaves to create a striped green border.

Supplies:
Stempelkissen /stamp pads: Stampin Up barely banana, mellow moss
Stempel /stamps: Stampin Up Pocket full of Posies
Copic markerR22, R27, G12, G24
Stanzen / dies/punches: Sizzix 657524 Phrase Happy Birthday w/Flower; Stampin Up Circle 1 3/4", Flower 2 3/8"
Marker: Signo, Stampin Up white chalk marker

  2. This was such an absolutely clever card! I've seen stamps used as background images before, but never in quite the same way as you did it. I thought it was very creative of you to flip the image different ways. It gives the background such great energy! I also like how you made the background stamping more subtle so that the other stamped image on the front of your card really pops. You did an incredible job on this and I really enjoyed seeing your card. Thanks for sharing it with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
